Can someone tell me how it works? What does it do? If I have push to talk on do I have to push whatever button I have set? Is it text only? How far does it reach?

It's just like a real life mega phone. You talk into it and it amplifies your voice for a distance. Not sure exactly how far but I heard it was a mermaids length or something like that. Other then that, you select it from your inventory wheel and then press the action button (RT on xbox, not sure about PC). You will need to have your push to talk button activated as well.
@crimson-aa In all honesty, I have no idea. Based on my experience last night, it's not very far. If I had to guess I would say the max is ~500m, if that. Really not all that far at all. I have not had a chance to properly test it or anything and have not read to much feedback on the distance here on the forum.
