Partial solar eclipse - in game - with screen shot

    I was parked at Ancient Aspire and turned to watch the sunrise when I noticed that the moon was half way in front of the sun creating a partial eclipse. By the time I had got a screen capture it had moved but you can still see it a bit in the image below. I never realised that this could happen in game and it makes me wonder if there will ever be a total solar eclipse.

    @themuckypaw i bet this was just a bug. No way they planned a solar eclipses and left out so much other stuff.

    @stubbierbell598 "Bug" is one way of describing it. :D

    It makes me wonder just how "realistic" the sun and moon orbits are in the game. If they are based on reality then there should be a total eclipse at some point but then again the world is not earth sized or spherical (as far as I know) so maybe it was just a very lucky coincidence.

    @themuckypaw idk... to look at it as anything more would give to much credit. It would be like saying the kracken really does have a body but rare just made it invisible because of magic.

    Hopefully soon we can spot a meteor that is going to fall on Dagger Tooth outpost. I hate that place.

    @trophy-un1ocked lol, I know what you mean. I don't mind spawning there as there are lots of barrels to get supplies but I avoid dropping loot off unless I absolutely have to. It's far too busy and the gold horder and order of souls are much too far away from the pier.

    @themuckypaw Agreed, its ok if you have merchant items to turn in, otherwise i try to avoid it also.

    Im betting its planned in the game. Iwas up in the crows nest as the sun set one night amd the sun flashed green as it dipped down the horizon. So cool they added a North Star, i need to pay attention at night now.

    @longbeardfellow it’s a green flash, it happens in real life. It’s when the sun is positioned so that the green color appears clearly

    @lo1-r3x im aware yes, but its also from Nautical tradition. They did it in Pirates of the Cairbbean.

    @themuckypaw I've witness that once too, while sailing with my buddy he warned me for that phenomenon.

    I guess I'll pay attention to the moon and see if its orbit speed differs from the sun, it'd be a cool detail. Both are actual 3d objects so it wouldn't be much of a stretch I believe.
