I want stuff in the game that nobody else has. Clothes, weapons, items etc. Wether it be from earning them, finding them in game or flat out buying them with actual money. Everyone wants to stand out. Maybe even add a trading element so we could trade our wares with other players. Basically more customization options that are super rare and nobody else has!

They are coming, however, right now they are not a priority. Pets may be the first purchasable items, as well they've said they plan to continue to update the item stores.
I know about the premium shop but most likely it will just be a bunch of items that dont really have any rarity. I'm looking talking rare loot that only a handful of people might have.

Well, the legend sails, ships pain is a start. But I kinda see what you're talking about. Maybe with the weekly events and new content patches things will expand.

Yes this is more along the lines of what i'm talking about. More specifically the Ebon Flintlock. That seems to be one of the rarest items in the game so far.

starting to think SoT is just a well planned marketing scheme altogether, just like windows 10. a glorified data mining/marketing tool, polished to appear as an operating system.

Onyx ? not sure what item they are talking about, but yeah I'll be buying some cookies that's for sure.
There is this game that I played a while ago called wizard101. I like their take on customization, they had a massive selection of base clothing designs, but you could also pay extra gold to pick the color scheme of each item you bought. I think this would be amazing in sea of thieves, since all the ultimate rewards are cosmetic. We could make custom sails, color schemes for them, even add symbols or combine symbols to make a clan logo?
