I've seen people pretty p****d off with buying a cosmetic upgrade for their ship and especially for the Sloop it ends up looking nothing like its depiction. Is there some kind of gallery somewhere with these things actually applied to ships or players so we can really know what they look like?

That's fascinating and all Mr. Backseat devil's advocate moderator wannabe, but that still doesn't change the fact that the game doesn't properly depict cosmetic upgrades for ships. Things you can spend tens to hundreds of thousands of gold on, things that take days and weeks to attain, can't get a refund for and end up looking totally different than their depiction.

What you see in that little picture for example shows what this item might look like on a Galleon, on a sloop it will have an entirely different design, different layout, colors etc.
The game doesn't properly depict how these things apply, and there's no way to preview them. If you spend the money and it looks nothing like what it was depicted as you're out of luck, money down the drain.
P.S. You're trying to snitch because the game is incompetently designed and I'm seeking actual help before I drop 4 days of gold earned.

I would love to have someone working on the Wiki who unlocked all of the cosmetics.
Someone who helps the community.
And only one type of player is capable of it since he should have the most gold.... every pirate legend outthere.
If i were a legend i would do it... only takes about 15 minutes of work to make these screens.

I'm so glad this post got figured out. I have been wanting to know the same thing. Only one that seems a lot different btwn galleon and sloop is the bilgerat. Sloop one isn't nearly as green/cool. I am geting that sovereign one! Seems like most ships I have run into are the admiral. The red admiral looks great! one day haha.

Yeah I made the mistake of buying pilge rat hull... On sloop its not even green for most parts. Same boring sloop with little green on top.
