Player cheating way to pirate legend

  • This joke of a "legend" doesn't even have a grasp of the basics in this game, and is only there due to fan boy boosting...pathetic.

  • LOL was looking at hes steam for 10 mins and i beeen playing the game for 3 hours and i play better.. this game is a game newbie

  • @tucupa said in Player cheating way to pirate legend:

Tell that to the infamous Jack Rackham, who just sailed with Charles Vane and got his reputation for being at the right spot at the right time.

Calico Jack (aka Jack Rackham) is most famous for

    1. his first mate designing the Jolly Roger flag
    2. his two female crewmates.

He sailed with Vane, yes, but didn't gain infamy just by being in "the right spot at the right time"

History lessons are a wonderful thing..

  • Banning him live on stream would be the only legendary thing about this...

So... we agree that the player didn't cheat and just sprint his way to Legend in a totally legit way although most people don't like it? Just to be sure we were talking about the thread.

Lol. I want to see that.

I never said he cheated, I said he boosted - there is a clear difference.

Boosting is exploiting the game mechanics by having other people help you in ways that go counter to the game's design in order to speed up the process of gaining awards or experience.

If you don't think boosting is an illegitimate thing to do, you may want to ask people like Riot, Blizzard, EA as to why they ban players for doing so.

  • Everyone who is discussing symbolism of "what a pirate does" - this is not what this issue is about . The reason why this guy does not deserve a world first achivement w/e, stands in relation to whether or not he has deserved the repution earned ingame.

Earning reputation from the gathered ingame items is the direct result of spending the required time finding them/stealing them and later on selling them -server hoping where people just want to spam boost you is not one of them! - at least not for world first! For those that think this is ok, then theoretically this guy could have reached legendary just server hoping. This is obviously fishy. Rare, don't endorse this for world first..

  • @redspooder I didnt cheat off my classmates sitting next to me on the test they boosted me. :) its all in the phrasing I guess.

    Exactly this.

The method used turns this into Sea of Invites: The Hand-In Simulator.

  • @pilks4k that's actually pretty much the epitome of an exploit. But I get where you're coming from. I think Rare will likely jokingly aknowledge him somehow as a Scallywag who stole worlds first. And honor whoever gets there as the real first as well.

  • @tucupa but he didn't play the game, his followers did.

  • its a shame.. ok no hack or bug.. the game offers that s**t.. but a shame :-)

good that idiots spent him money for such a stream! ^^

  • @tucupa the game currently is allowing brig abuse, respawn exploiting, player griefing, and hacks too. Just because something is currently allowed doesn't mean it's intended.

  • @fantome2024 work smarter not harder I suppose 🤔

  • There is nothing dramatic about him reaching Pirate Legend first (and that shows how a community can work together towards a goal), but it is a bit sad that he reached it by not playing the game. :/

  • @dairadh he did play the game, has quite a bit of time in doing so since March 20th.

  • In my opinion, he is a cheater. He did a game mechanic abuse (shared bounty)He jumped into known partys just to get the reward premeditated and leave.

    Bann! Bann! to the sharks!

  • @dipdacxb no he did play a lot of the game, go back and watch his streams, or continue baseless claims your choice.

  • So now we know that the amazing endgame content is TOTALLY different!

Instead of getting a voyage to get 4 chests, a voyage to kill 8 skeletons, a voyage to deliver 2 pigs, you now get a voyage to get 4 chests, kill 8 skeletons and deliver 2 pigs.

OMG the creativity of this awesome dev team is beyond comprehension.

  • @fantome2024 Its pvp and some taking advantage of that Fakt. I saw players waiting on the Outposts hiding and waiting for others, they even sinked their ship to not bee seen. I Saw 4 man Galleons taking on Sloops with only 1 Player. And i saw Spawnkillers, pvp is nice but as so far its way to unbalanced ingame.

  • @si7van didn't even know how to use the inventory system to solve the riddle. stop making excuses for this pretender.

There's nothing to get, it's not like he said OK STREAMER SUB FAM GIVE ME YOUR LOOT!! no, his community wanted to help him and they did. Keep throwing your stones if you want.

We glorify the stories of people who jerk a crew out of a pirate fort, and run off with the key well they're busy doing whatever, but when a community comes together to reach a goal QQ for days.

  • @redspooder i just realised if every pirate legend uses the same hideout once more hit this milestone it might just be a gref fest 1 pirate legend hold down the hideout won't let others in it would play out just like an outpost if its not serperated for each individual pirate legend and his crew?? can someone please tell me this is not the case?

So sorry you are upset, perhaps taking a step out into the sun will calm you down.

  • @si7van nice clapback, too bad it has nothing to do with this game, this 'player' or reality.

  • @fantome2024 I don't like how he did it either...but to be fair "Pirate!" He did what any clever pirate would do, took advantage of what was available to him.

  • @dipdacxb Sure, or you know go watch the past video history and see he does know how to do quite a lot in the game. Of course I always perform at peak capacity after streaming hours on end through the night!

  • @si7van No, he did not play the game in a way that legitimately enable him to get Pirate Legend. He abused the system, and even when you say "he did not ask them to help him", he still accepted their help and joined each or their crew in order to boost his progression.

Sure, that is nothing serious and he didn't "cheat". He's exploiting a flaw in the design of this game. Too bad such a flaw exists. Too bad it makes the title of "First Pirate Legend" so bland and insipid.

  • @si7van you don't have to be operating at peak capacity to use the inventory wheel or know how to operate a hurdy gurdy in game. seriously quit defending this dude, he's not going to mention you on his stream or something for it.

  • So many people seem so surprised by this. Is there a reward in the real world I would have gotten if I was world first legendary? Or is this something that has zero effect on how you play the game?

Not defending him at all. Just don't see the point in getting upset about something that happens in every online game ever. You can't stop it from happening. Unless you do what 1 MMO did and put limits on how much progression you can do per day (that MMO was FFXIV 1.0. It flopped).

  • @okerlund84 it's disappointing that instead of somebody that actually played the game being the first PL we get this poser who can't even angle a sail all because his sweaty followers crave attention. It's gross.

  • @pilks4k All this kid wants is for people to see his face, to check out his twitch so he can get paid. If you think what he did is worthy then throw him a bone. If you don't then you should just ignore him completely and he'll go away.
