Please tell me how to fix error code 0x803f8001

    Since I’ve made the update from yesterday (the 27th of march) I Seem to have some problems. At fisrt I was just doing the update but it got stuck in an endless update so I cancelled it. Then I restarted it but had to download the whole game again (which takes time with my connection) and then tried to play it but this error code came up 0x803f8001. Now I’ve read that this probelm only concernes xbox game pass users and I’m one of them so I really hope this gets fixed soon.

    I've got the same problem, but I bought the Game not the Game pass, and I read here: https://www.seaofthieves.com/forum/topic/45114/fix-error-code-0x80070005-and-code-0x803f8001-apparently-it-s-crazy-but-it-worked that it might work if you install it on the C: drive, I'm not going to try it, I mean (really honest) WHY THE HELL do I need to install a game on my C Drive and can't play it on other drives?
    I'm currently on holidays with my Work Laptop, and we have rules, C = windows, nothing else! (Its just a different partition on the same disk, where I installed it.) at Home I played it from my Harddisk, which always worked great (not on C:)

    So I just want to mention that this problem exist and needs to be fixed. I Wanted to play with my friend today and he stayed awake until 4AM!!! just to play with me, and I had to tell him after 2:30h of downloading, that I can't start the game!

    Please RARE take a look into this as I payed 70CHF to download +20GB and can't even start the game.
    I know it runs like this as I downloaded the game before my holidays from School and played during the lessons (I know I'm a bad guy) it worked well :D
    Now here in Canada I wanted to start the game and get the Error: 0x803f8001 I checked the Xbox App and saw the 20GB update, downloaded it, and still can't launch the game.

    @destrolock13 My Friend was able to start it without any issues, He also bought the game for the full price just like me. No real difference between us.

    Well there is something going on with the Store download. I have been playing since release. I had to download it again but now it gets to 18 gigs or so and fails on the download. Restarted my system, and nothing. I can't get this game downloaded onto my system.

    Wow, I did now, what We did during the Alpha, Beta and stress tests to fix the game, Reinstall insider Hub...

    And it starts now :)

    Uninstall "Xbox Insider hub"

    Open the Microsoft Store and search for "Xbox Insider hub" - Install it again.

    thats all what we did, and it worked everytime...
