without the auctuall map , just clues, how do you know what side is south east!?
where do you start from? , south east from the middle of the island or what?

You need to go around the island and find it, Look SE on your compass and explore the entire island, You need to be facing SE.
There are some really hard riddles that say you need to find something and doesn't tell you which direction it is so you have to go around the entire island to find it.

north east is north east..if i approach from the south i just dont know if there is a easy way to work out what side to park the ship
idk i could be been stupid right now i am quite high lol . and "dont u know how to read a compass" , yeah i get how it works , but never actually needed to, its 2018 bro

like sometimes we are given a map ok. and it has a compass on the map...
if it says the north shore ,, that could be the one at the bottom of the map or the top..
depending on if its talking about north from the middle....
or from the bottom of the "MAP" ,,, and the riddles dont have a "MAP" ...
does anyone get my point here lol
Go back to your ship and have a good, close up look at the island. Any island map you have will be orientated to the north, just like your sea chart. Look for landmarks on the map like beaches, large rocks, patches of vegetation and paths, perhaps scribble a little map of your own (or google) then take note of landmarks near your area of interest.
Sometimes it helps to leave your ship at the northern or southern tip of the island for easy reference.
Simply looking at your compass and heading, say, south-east won't always take you to 'the south east beach', especially if you're already on the south east beach ;)
