I believe we are still waiting on confirmation on this but here's what the stress test article says...
"Who can take part in the Scale Test?
The scale test is open to Xbox Insiders and those who had access to the Closed Beta. If you are an Xbox Insider and want to take part, you can navigate to the Insider Hub on your dash, and install the Sea of Thieves Scale Test build."
I pre-ordered 2 days ago.
Didn't get no E-Mail or what-so-ever.
However, yesterday I downloaded the Xbox Insider Hub and registered with the same Account as I did the pre-order on the Microsoft store.
There I was able to download the SoT-Beta Client 15gb.
But I can't say if this means I can actually play SoT on the weekend or if anyone who's registered for the Xbox Insider Hub can download the client and you just won't be able to login ingame.

And there I'm not sure how to understand "..open to Xbox Insiders.." because there is the Xbox Insider Hub or does it mean the SoT Insiders?
Infact to include every Xbox Insider would be more or less an open beta, since it is free to sign up and you don't have to be accepted by any means.
And the "...and those who had access.." is a seperate part of this message, so I guess it is all Xbox Insiders as well as all the people who already had access.
I hope it is understandable what I mean, since english is not my native language.

In reality, it's not for me but for a friend.
I have already pre-order the game and access to the beta test. But i received a mail with the instruction. If I want to play with my friend, he must first receive a mail for participate the beta test? or everybody can join the beta test with the Xbox Insider?

This is the part we are not sure of yet, if getting access to the game is enough. Because even though you have the game you normally need to be authorised to play.
I'm sure this will be cleared up soon - failing that all you can do is become an Xbox Insider as this too will grant you access.
@exile-arcana It's in the Insider Content section of the Xbox Insider Hub... You might need to click See in Store.
I opened the Insider App, navigated to the Insider Content section and clicked on 'Sea of Thieves'. Then there was an option to 'Join'. I clicked on that button but now it is eternally stuck in pending. Even if I restart the app. Its just stuck in 'pending' all the time.
This is upsetting because I prepurchased the game...
I see almost nothing on the internet about being stuck in 'pending' so I am not sure what to do...

If you are receiving the "Pending" or "Unauthorised" message on the PC or Xbox versions of the Xbox Insider Hub, your application to be an Insider has not yet finished being processed. This can take up to 24 hours to complete.
If after 24 hours you still having issues, please contact Xbox support: https://support.xbox.com
