Been a member for quite some time but only really browsed the forum rather than contribute, but after having such a fantastic time with the Closed Beta I definitely felt the urge to contribute more on here and join some of the fantastic SoT Discord groups I've found.
I'm 28 so my history with Rare goes back an awfully long way. The first game I played on my N64 was Goldeneye 007, played most of their famous N64 titles apart from Jetforce Gemini and Perfect Dark. Adored them all and actually preferred them to Nintendo's 1st party offerings for the most part.
Banjo and Conker are probably my two favourite Rare franchises though. I absolutely adore them both and would honestly jump around the room with glee if a Banjo-Fourie or Conker 2 got announced.
But yeah, back to Sea of Thieves. I have had such an incredible time with it in the Closed Beta, even though Monster Hunter World - another franchise I adore - came out at much the same time I couldn't stop thinking about - and playing - SoT instead, it is just such a phenomenal achievement and has already given me moments of joy and magic that I've never felt before in my previous 23 year gaming history. It is just a very unique, charming, jolly game and there's just nothing else like it.
