Add a Kick Option for Captains on Open Crew Sessions

  • It would be great if captains had the ability to remove players from their own captained ships — but only when the crew is set to Open Crew.

Sometimes when playing solo as a captain, randoms join who grief, go AFK, or simply refuse to cooperate. Since there’s currently no way to manage who stays on your vessel, it often forces the captain to abandon their session or deal with unwanted behavior.

By limiting this feature to Open Crew captained ships, it keeps the system fair — closed crews and non-captained sessions wouldn’t be affected. This would give captains a little more control over their experience while keeping Sea of Thieves’ cooperative spirit intact.

It will also give the Captain an opportunity to kick people out in favour of their friends, for instance when turning in or when a certain Meg appears.

Close Crew. And allow only those you want. As a solo captain..

  • @lem0n-curry very true but over all if someone just wont leave your ship and just keeps burning it or sinking it we truly need something like that cause i get griefed a lot but i go open crew cause i am a leader in a guild so its a way i can actually recruit good players

Doing that, you have to take the risk that there aren't good players or even will be griefing - when they do something against the rules, they can be reported.

You will just have wasted a bit of time, assuming most griefers will start with their bad behaviour from the start.

When people can get kicked from a crew, it will open the possibility of people wasting a complete session and probably their desire to play open crew again - or even SoT as a whole.

That sounds fine, but as you have met. "Good Players" are hard to come by, your more likely to find a solo player on there own ship who meets your requirements.
