Megs spawning in middle of Hg

  • Can someone explain to Rare,I'm having issues,The new megaldoons shouldn't be present in HG,I spawned on player and instantly got attacked by the Barncle Dread as soon as I Surfaced in HG that's an issues Rare should look into,I didn't even have chance in HG cause of that it was an unfair fight. Literally gave the other player a free unfair win In HG.

    Less you forget. HG is part of the overall game.
    It’s not its own separate pocket world.

    Can Rare please explain to players this? Things like this happen. As if you didn’t use HG to find PvP, it’s gonna happen.

But,it's happen constantly,But here's the main issue Barncle Dread sent that electric eel ocean Crawler on my ship 2 seconds before I surfaced,worst part about it the player i was facing was Toxic af,I can understand loss Farmers,but still an unfair advantage,regardless two bites from the thing and my ship was done,I rlly think they should nerf these new megaldoons they are way to op,and worst part is,Barncle Dread only attacked me.

  • @burnbacon you can choose whether or not you want to engage in a fight with ancient megs present in adventure, you don't have that choice in hourglass. You are severely limited in options in hourglass, you don't choose your battle spot, and you can only use a small part of the map.

    Hourglass is a different mode, different rules are set upon you, you become sinkable when beached, you leave the server when you sink, and you cannot leave a small area. Also, hourglass does not permit regular pve to spawn on you, such as megs and skeleton ships, and it does not start the fight of two diving ships in a storm. It is clearly an oversight.

    My feedback is just a solution which may not always be available: when PvE is trained on you, make your way to an island, fort, outpost, whatever is available, and the PvE will stop harassing you and maybe even go away and/or harass your opponent instead. This isn’t always an option, of course, since you may not have anything within the circle to sail to.

  • @capt-greldik I appreciate your feedback and I do know that,but where the HG fight took place was in middle of nowhere,no Islands within the circle,so the enemy player had the advantage.Im a Solo Player most of the time in HG,I rlly think the new megs should limit damage depending on Ship and Crew size,that's my 2 cents.The meg only attacked me,while I was busy trying to stay afloat the enemy took advantage of my just terrible bad luck while being toxic towards me.Like I said two bites from Barncle Dread,and dealing with enemy Player was an unfair fight.I wouldn't be as mad if the Dread attack the other player aswell,it would've been who'd last long basically,but the thar thing was only locked in on me.

    Unfair fight. Who says ship combat has to be fair?? Hourglass is instant PvP locator, where ever a player might be and the sea doesn’t care. Unlucky yes. But that all. How often this happens? Not enough

  • @burnbacon Someone Else did Say Rare made sure not to include PVE such as Skeleton ships and Megs in HG,I dont think they included the two new megs. That's what I want them to look into, u technically can't escape those Encounters within HG. Especially in middle of nowhere. Getting attacked by new megs without even provoking them is rlly annoying I was attacked while still Fully submerged by Electric Ocean crawler. They might aswell give a free HG lvl or half a
    lvl to players Who go on offense In HG and are attacked in HG by PVE from enemy servers, ofc this doesn't include sea forts as they a good tactic in HG.Just saying in my opinion ofc.

    They might be wrong; you can invade another crew who is doing a PvE event; they could just be hanging around the Ancient Meg, waiting to be invaded, hoping it will attack the invader, just as they can try to have a crew spawn in the attack zone of an active Fort.

    If that wouldn't be possible, crews coul have hourglass up and not be invaded by just doing (but not finishing) a PvE event.

  • @th3-tater this is what you say is a feature btw, our entire crew killed before we can even turn out

  • They also need to figure out a way to stop hourglass matches from starting in the middle of skeleton fleets. That is wayyyy more annoying than a meg.

  • Megs and skelly ships and the kraken should spawn in HG.
    HG should happen in the roar with active volcanoes.
    3rd parties should get rewarded if they can sink both participants.

    Stop trying to make HG safe zone.

  • @captainbones755 There are arenas that give some unfair advantages. There's the one where someone gets a rock right in front of them, the one right next to a sea fort, even sometimes ones in skelly fleets. This is just an affect of it being opt in pvp built into adventure. While it is annoying to be put into these situations it is just an effect of its intentional design. It's the same reason someone can come in and 3rd party the fight too
