First off I've only just made this account on here and I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so apologies if it isn't. Sorry as well for the vague title. Me and my friends played SoT for the first time the other day and had a ton of fun. After 2 or 3 hours we called it a day and logged off. We then discovered the loot we had doesn't save and when we log back in we start from fresh. We were quite surprised about this, but then after I did some research into it, it made more sense to me. However, my friends are reluctant to play again as they don't see the point if loot doesn't save. They're wondering what the objective is if everything just gets reset when you log off and they don't see the point in playing if gold only buys cosmetics. We know you can use gold to also buy supplies, but these don't save either. Basically it's not worth the grind if only cosmetics save between sessions. I really enjoyed playing and want to play again, I'm not too fussed about loot not saving and I understand it's a session based game, and you need to sell your loot before you log off to get gold which does save to the next session. But I am having trouble trying to convince my friends to play again when the loot doesn't carry over between sessions. Could any players with more experience provide some help to try and convince them to play again? When I told them the loot doesn't save, one of them even said "this has just gone from a really good game, to a really bad game". I really wanna play again, but I don't think they do.
