Idea For Hourglass

  • one of the biggest things i do not like about hourglass, and I'm sure others will agree is the ability for players to run the entire match. We play hourglass for the PVP experience and to progress in servants or guardians, but it is very unfortunate when you come a crossed player that will literally run and stay on the opposite side of the arena in hopes that you scuttle out of boredom.
    The idea is, for the first ten minuets the circle is normal, after the ten minutes is up every five minuets the circle shrinks so you have to be closer to avoid out of bounds. then have the circle shrink to the point that players have no option but to fight, this would make it more competitive and would make running away for the win impossible. The grind for our gold curses is already a long one but sometime between cheaters, hackers, and runners it makes it that much longer.

    How small we talking until this reaches?
    Again I stress this.
    What if, big IF but doable. That the circle shrinks so much, it cuts off both ships because of a large island like structure.

    What IF, kraken spawns? Causing both ships to slowly sail and both ships are stuck outside the moving circle?

    What IF, nobody takes a moment to ponder the IFs part of these solutions that may cause more problems than simple runners. (Whom are easy to catch btw)

  • that is a good point, but if its done correctly these issues you talked about should be non existent, and yes they can be easy to catch sometime but if they literally just spend the match running it becomes annoying tedious and tiresome.
