Skelly Fleet scaling and the Reapers Hideout

  • Would be nice if we removed the Reapers Hideout from the area that determines the scaling of the Skelly Fleet.

It's always a gamble engaging with the fleet when there is a ship selling at Reaper's - will they come for you or not? Are they logging off afterwards (fingers crossed).
It adds a little frisson to the PvE experience.

However it feels punishing to have more skelly ships spawn on you as a result.

Simply move the 'hit-box' of the event North of Reapers Hideout a wee bit.

  • Understandable, not that I do the fleet as often now but I potentially would go attack any ships first for this reason.

Yeah and? What difference when someone from across the server does this? Doesn’t matter if they are two squares or 20 away.

Bruh, that is not really the point of my suggestion so not really sure what you are trying to highlight. Think of that as window dressing. Perhaps you're just trying to make your edgy daily forum quota.

The point I'm trying to make is why have a selling point within the Skelly Fleet area. What harm would it do to exclude Reapers from the area?

  • I remember it used to spawn at other areas of the map. One of which was near Ancient Spire Outpost and there was another further East near the S/E edge of the map. It was a lot better than just being at the Sea Dogs arena area all the time. I still do the Fleet a lot and I can confidently say that you are lucky to sail away with the loot, one out of four times. If it's not a Reaper waiting to attack you towards the end of the Battle or while you are collecting the final loot, then it is the final loot not spawning because another event starts straight away or some sort of glitch. The other day, one of my final loot spawns was nothing more than an ammo pouch!

IMO, they have set it up this way to help Reapers level up their alignments because the loot haul is big and you are an easy target. Then they can quickly go back to the Hideout and sell everything and get Reaper bonuses.

  • Was sailing to sell my hourglass and I just barely tipped through that zone, starting the fight, seconds before I arrived at reapers. I managed to sell my HG but I got attacked by a skeleton galleon and had to do a whole other fight before I could requeue
