Every time I join a server, I can interact with NPCs without issue (captain supplies, merchant resources, faction rep shops). After about 3-4 minutes, I'm unable to access any of these shops due to an infinite loading screen. If I close the game and rejoin the server, the I'm able to interact with the shops again for another few minutes, then I get locked out again. I use Starlink internet, and I've seen several people who use Starlink complain about this exact issue. After trying every fix I could find, I'm convinced this is an internet-related problem. I don't have any problems with other games resulting from Starlink.
Have any Starlink users or anyone else who experienced this issue found a solution? I've been getting into hourglass a lot more recently, and it's not all that convenient having to close the game and rejoin when it's time to buy supplies/restock.
