at least they aren't obnoxious in design, I can do extra of these if I need to. The loot has been very eh for me though.

i reported a bug a while back about commendations credits not counting if the whole crew isnt on the ship. when im playing with my friend we usually split off to get things done faster so he will row places while i sail around. so even stuff like guild commendations for wearing outfits to get "riddles complete" if he wasnt there with me neihter of us would get credit.

so basically this just sounds like a continuation of the bug ive been reported for years now and i just get a copy pasted response since their support team has been overwhelmed with tickets mostly about people cheating

so when trying to do these with my friend today we werent getting credit. i dont really care about the cosmetic so i was like w/e so when we got to an island i would leave an he dug up the X and got credit. ironically since all bottle spawns are spawning athena it seems any map counts as completion? he was at 4 out of 8 and we had 2 at mermaids hideaway and there was an ashen guardian that spawned. so he dug the 2 maps and the ashen chest and when i rejoined he was at 7 out of 8 despite only having dug up 2 athenas. so either there was a delay on 1 of the previous islands or the ashen chest counted as well since its technically a bottle quest.

but yea hey maybe this will actually make the developers realize theres credit issues. like we noticed in hourglass while wasting other peoples time that "miles sailed" during hourglass werent counting if 1 of us jumped off to board the other ship. we both had to stay on the ship the whole time for that commendation to progress. so just wasting other peoples time by running away for hours.... we only did that a few times till we started to feel bad. hopefully they remove that commendation.
