Legend of Veil final stage INSANELY hard now??

  • The ship aim and spawn rate is stupid insane now. The last Veil I did on a brig we were taking hits so often that I could barely keep the ship repaired. We went through 75 boards...

    The 2 times before on a Galleon we sank... and these are not new crews or crews of kids. Like, what the heck happened?! Tone it the heck down!

  • I cant recall any changes made to their difficulty tbh, are you sure your skilled crew knew what they were doing? Ghost ships take only 3 hits. The forts themeselves on Galleon are super easy due to the firepower of the ship. Maybe im wrong and some changes were made as i cant recall doing them on galleon after season 9 , but never had any problems solo/duo or brig

  • @lodius for a brig and a galleon those ghost ships got a very good aim, that's why it's harder then...didn't play the veil voyage that often on a brig or galleon, but it can be pretty tough with those 2

  • @schwammlgott I know what you mean, but whenever we needed the whole crew to bail water on the brig, this was to do with poor performance on the cannons and my lazy approach as a helmsman. I can see this voyage, ghost fleets, Flameheart WE to be a problem for unexperienced crews tho. Also If I am not mistaken, once you get rid of the ghost ship protecting a fort they don't respawn, and they only take 3 shots. So normally you can land all 3 before they manage to fire a 2nd shot.

    Imo, these struggles is a great opportunity to view them as practice for PVP/HG. If you can quickly land shots on moving/stationary targets, this will help in real combat, it won't make you good at it, but it will certainly be a huge stepping stone getting there.

    There felt like a difficulty bump before S8 launched, as solo sloop. Felt the same at the beginning of S9

    I literally just did the Legend of the Veil yesterday and I completed it with no problem.

    Your problem may be with your crew. I have played with people in the past who literally had no idea what they were doing and we sunk.

    I have never tried it solo but that’s because the risk of PvP. After all, the Veil final chapter is a PvP magnet

    No! Keep it difficult, the game needs these challenges.

  • I think in S9, but it could have been S8, they changed the battles to scale based on ship crew/alliance.

  • A galleon that sinks solely to a PvE Event is not a good galleon crew.

    Unless by some freak sheer unlucky scenario where 3 of you top deck get one balled back to back, and you run over kegs at the same time, and your bilge cannot somehow solo tank ''lower pressure'' from NPCs (They don't even shoot enough lowers where a bilge can't solo his job from the get go).
    Sinking twice on a gally doing the veil.
    Just nahhhhh. At this point look up roles and how to play them at the very least.
