Ability to drop food, fruit, meat

    Why? You could drop it on the ground for your crew. No storage or fruit crate? No worries? Could be a pineapple laying there…humpty dumptys over there, Walks straight into an ambush/trap 😩😏. Or you just wanna swap items without eating them. Wouldn’t take up to much memory would it.? Maybe dunno 🤷 don’t even know what I’m talking about tbh 🤷

    @hornet-hill-19 Haha... Aye. I get what you mean, as we do have the ability to give other players whatever food we have and exchange/drop/pick up if we are using barrels, but to actually drop items on the ground at islands would be handy so you're not having to run around to find a barrel to drop it into to, we usually end up eating it unnecessary. I don't think it's a major concern but it is something that would come in handy if we did have the ability.

    I'd rather not walk around on banana beaches - you might drop one or two but there will be crews that will cover a whole island with bananas or coconuts.

    How would that work, on Xbox the B key is used to drop things, but it is also used to put away items from the radial.

    It would need another key and they are all taken.

    Or, you can just buy a crate, stop flopping around on the ground, they are only 5k.

    You are trying to solve an issue that doesnt really exist, if a team mate needs food, you can just hand it to them without dropping it, and if you are giving some one something, eating a piece of fruit isnt really the worst situation considering its everywhere.

    And that is exactly why Rare wouldn't do that...

    TBF we already have plenty of droppable art materials available. You just need to work on a grander scale!

    I'm gonna say no just because it's added pressure to server without adding much benefit. I could also see trolls covering ship in items making it harder to interact with what you want.

    There is already a form of this in game but quite specific. When you see beach food the odd bits of fruit washed up on shorelines, you can harpoon this and it shows on end of harpoon. You can also drop this and it does strangely float around in water etc
