Regarding Arena now the is no more soon, Will there be a custom server to do arena at all? or is it done completely?

Arena is super fun and I'm sad to see it go, but I look forward to see what you all can do with those resources freed up!
I am also super sad that I wasn't able to get the Good Boy ship set. I'm level 45 (almost 46) for Sea Dogs. Just a shame I didn't get a chance to earn the ship set. I feel like people in the same shoes as me definitely earned it!
My daughter plays with me and she is obsessed with unicorns. She is gonna be upset haha...
Please consider giving us just a little bit more time to earn the Good Boy ship set. That would be super cool.

Dude Who Is About To Grind The Daylights Out Of Arena
I don't want to be offensive towards the devs, I've been playing this game for over 3000 hours now and enjoying (moslty) every minute of it. I have seen and completed mostly everything that there is to complete in this game be it PVP or PVE and obviously the Arena. The gamemode became a nice alternative to the adventure mode, having nothing to lose and being able to focus exclusively on fighting, since you barely ever have a real fight in adventure, with PVE lords crying for their 5 loots onboard or players sailing with a Reaper 5 emissary flag, running for 50 minutes while screaming any kind of insults because we are "ruining the game", forgetting that the Reapers are technically a PVP faction that should fight and rob others but also that the game itself is a sandbox and there is also a PVP side otherwise it would be a solo or a coop game. Now for the arena, not doing any more updates to it was fine, the gamemode served his purpose, it was PVP oriented aside for people who exclusively went for the chest but oh well we know PVE lords by now and putting aside various bugs but anyone who played at least 1/10 of the time I spent on this Sea should be used to bugs in this game anyway. But I think, and I'm not the only one, that DELETING it completely is going a little bit over the line, we know they had been doing almost everything they could to nerf PVP, let's be honest almost everything that was good for PVP but bad for [mod edit] had been nerfed or changed, but getting rid of basically the only real PVP mode seems quite excessive.
Again I'm not judging the devs nor am I trying to be offensive towards them, I'm just giving my honest opinion about that decision.
But from now on they will probably receive an increasing amount of people being reported for either "spawnkilling" or any other sort of PVP which the PVE fanatics will categorize as "unfair" or "ruining the game or their experience" and I hope the devs and whoever's in charge of those reports will keep in mind that with the Arena being gone, the only place for people to PVP either naval or by filling each other's heads with bullets, will be the adventure mode, so those 2% of the community who previously spent most of their time battling with each other in the Arena will be let loose on the seas and they won't stop doing what they usually did before.
But at least it's a relief for people like me which were bored about the now low level in the Adventure mode and the people only making a run for it as soon as they saw more than 1 mast on a boat.
I hope everyone will be enjoying the upcoming content and that nobody will regret the decision which has been made.[MOD EDIT]

[mod edit] Rare already stopped supporting Arena a while back. How much resources does it take just to have it in the game. Hell I can still play battlefield 3 from back in 2011 on my ps3. Cant take too much resources to keep it up. People bought and paid their money for this game including Arena Mode and Rare will just remove it.
So, youre taking the legendary weapons out of the game completely. Thats garbage, I was not able to complete my challenges because it was IMPOSSIBLE to find games. If I had a full galleon, 2 minutes in and it would just be me. Sloop? Solo v everyone. Oh but lets just add different legend cosmetics and hide them behind some other IMPOSSIBLE task.
I was looking forward to this, but now im beyond annoyed and probably wont be back on this game.
Hello guys, first off, I’d like to say thank you for all your hard work and dedication. While I understand this decision to close the arena, I am curious about one thing. I am level 50 and have played a lot of matches through the years, however, I haven’t gotten several of the cosmetics related to getting kills with each weapon. I know I’m close on some, but it’s a huge grind considering time in between matches and the skill of other players. Is it being considered to give those cosmetics if players have reached a certain threshold? For instance, if I was grade 3 for the eye of reach, would it be possible to have the weapon skin unlocked since arena is closing? Or is all the grinding I’ve done trying to get the skins going to be wasted?

Jeez, I really want arena to stay, I’m still trying to work at some of the commendations, I think that they should stop updating and patching it and all… But keep it in. Like without arena think about how many players will leave. Mostly veterans who are just farming out arena. This will make it harder on the newer players. Because the veterans that stay will have to play adventure. They will most likely kill the newer players, spawn camp them and so on. So please keep arena I don’t want to see it go away.

Well there are some pieces missing now but I guess the message is clear enough, but I still find it a bit intrusive and unfair that mods can just delete the part they want and make it look like it's actually friendly, because I wasn't totally lol

Create a mentor program to get the PvE crowd sweaty. Yes I know arena is getting the axe...but when it re-launches in the future because it will be back and better than ever...create a program specific to the sweat lords/legendary sea dogs to help show new pirates or, not as skilled pirates, get their skills up. I am in what I would like to call "sweat lord boot camp" with someone whose foundation was built around PvP. We are currently exchanging PvE and PvP and it's making things fun again. Make special cosmetics for them so the new pirates can come in and learn from the legends. And then when they become sweats, they can then become a mentor and show a new pirate the ropes.
Removing the legendary weapons instead of reworking them into new commendations as to “respect the players” is such a cop out imo. The ego stroking in this game when it comes to cosmetics is ridiculous, especially considering cosmetics are the only form of progression. Not the first time and it certainly won’t be the last.
It is truly sad that Arena was never given the TLC that it should of obtained to gain more than '2%' traction... However I don't think that number really equates the fact of how many people continued to play adventure because of their practice in arena, and quite honestly I full heartedly disagree with the decision to shut it down... I'm already TSD/LSD and all that but I personally would of never put anywhere near the time I've put into any part of this game without that safe place to learn to PvP.
I feel terribly bad for anyone who starts trying to learn this game after its gone. I can only imagine how frustrating it will be for them to never really have a way to get better at protecting themselves before their driven from the seas by their constant losses in adventure.
With the arena closing, and most of us desperately trying to grind as much as we can before it's gone.
Could we possibly lower the PL weapon set from 240 wins down to 120.
With only a months notice, grinding out 5 wins a day would still take nearly a month and a half for 240 wins.
Just a thought to help us get that weapon set before it's gone.
