Shrouded Ghost Set Opinion? Help!

    Im tempted to buy the set but would like a little more info.

    The videos i see are from rare and dont give me enough detail, if anybody has a video of it thats a bit more indepth it would be amazing.

    Basically i got 2 questions holding me back...

    1. Rips in the sails. Are they big enough where i can see clearly ahead from the wheel of a brigantine fully unfurled? Because thats a big help especially solo sailing it. Thats why i use dark parrot sails at the moment.

    2. Does the wood inside the ship have a default dark wood, or is the hull a lighter wood finish like how the parrot set changed the brig interior..because i find the inside more inviting, less closterphobic with a lighter wood.

    I havent been able to properly tell from the video i seen from rare.

    On a final note, if this doesnt fufill these does anybody know any sets to recommend? Either emporium or sets in game?

    @daringclarky offtopic: I guess I need to watch more closely to brigantines...easy sink with just 1 man on it...I played it duo for awhile, but changed back to sloop then...

    @schwammlgott When i solo sail a brigantine i see myself more as a smuggler.

    I can do my voyages, i can even sink the skellies and take out most PVE threats solo.

    But if i see a player, i just run.

    I sail solo sloop when i want to fight, but my brigantine is more a hit hard and high tail it away, kind of ship.

    Of course i can always use my trusty rowboat to get the drop on a player, using my brig as a base of operations instead of a combat vessel.

    Its a nice change to gameplay for a solo i find.

    Sloop is hands down the better ship, but it is fun sailing the brig. :)

    @daringclarky if you like that challenge...go on...I just see more people saying, they solo a brig...so I guess I don't need to be that scared of them 😉
    I guess I have that sails in insider, I will look for you how the sails are ripped, but I don't know if I have time for that today...maybe tomorrow then, I'll tell you when I looked

    Shrouded ghost set is one of the best emporium sets imo

    I tend to personally like in-game cosmetics more than the emporium ones I just think people that can afford it and want to support the game should pick up the high quality emporium items to support the development

    It's a cool set it's worth the coins if you can afford them.

    @daringclarky I have the fullest i can load on a boat for you. Also if you wanna call it "testing" you can buy the set somewhere for free and see for yourself.

    No he probably didn't. There was a challenge to gather shark teeth, which awarded the ship set piece by piece.

    I have the full set. The sails are awesome, in both their looks, and comfort for steering the ship. The hull is decent as well. Not too light, not too dark. I think you can check both of them on this here stream, at around 16 min.

    If you want to test the set give me a beep. We'll join a game and I'll put them up for ya.

    Ermmmmmm, now that you mentioned it, I have no clue actually?? Doesn't seem to be specifically pointed in the OP.

    But I can provide both types if he wants to test them nonetheless.

    I did. Its an emporium skin, which means it can be tested there.

    Im a duo brig pirate myself, we like it so much more than the sloop.

    Anyways I did not buy the entire set, I already had the osidian set and I found that went nice enough with the wheel, capstan and cannons. I must say those three pieces are super cool so I say atleast get those pieces if you decide not to get full set and you have something that will go with it already. I find I mix and match often.

    Well for starters, why are you soloing a ship specifically designed for a three man crew? Water flood rate is different depending on the ships in the game depending on the crew size it’s supposed to have. It’s your choice but really suggest the sloop for solo play.

    @daringclarky so...I have them on right now...the big ripped parts are more on the side, a couple of small ones in the middle...regular and collector have the same rips
    You could join to see it yourself, if you are online in the next hour

    @DaringClarky insider is for testing SoT, if u want to test emporium stuff go for it. Thats what i do when testing what stuff to save up for / buy

    The main reason is for the speed.
    I can get voyages done quicker.
    I can kill all pve threats except kraken.
    I can outrun other ships pretty easily.

    I've sailed it so much that I don't find it uncomfortable.

    Most importantly, I find it more fun. Sometimes when u don't have a destination to go to ill sail in crosswinds at insane speed and just stay there, turning when the wind changes. Eventually I'll see a point of interest like a skelly Galleon or something and decide to go attack it.

    Using a storage crate up top with my cannonballs in, its pretty easy to reload quickly. I can also look through the grate to see how full the ship is and so I only go down when I need to.
    Plus, I prefer the interior. I like how it has a proper bed.

    It's a pretty versatile ship and it gives you a lot if you let it.

    Sloop is better for solo hands down.
    But the brig is fun especially when the discomfort goes away.
