Most Gold per hour?

    I've been looking for things to do, one of them was a fish in a barrel contest where I wanted to encourage people to pack expensive fish in a barrel to improve PvP. You would never know when you sank 100,000 gold unless you looked 😈.

    Naturally I started timing the results and used 30 bait for 30 trophies as the bench mark.

    It seems possible to make about 25-30,000 gold an hour this way, maybe more. Solo

    So, then the question becomes what other methods earn as much or more Gold per hour?

    Well, Reapering on a Galleon can get like 200,000 pretty fast....but there's 4 of you. And I would say that's a 2 or 3 hour trip, not 1 hour. So while I dont have an exact figure I'd say 50,000 Gold an hour is achievable regularly but probably unlikely.

    I watched a video on Golden animal farming where with 2x multiplier you get about 3,500 per animal...

    But, I don't know how hard it is to get those.

    2 fort of the damned at grade v reaper nets you close to 250k. With keg strats on greymarrow you can bop them out under an hour as long as no one comes and messes with you.

    Yeah. I kinda ruled out the large whales because too many variables.

    I'd say Flameheart is more consistent and achievable.

    In all event cases you actually need the event to be active.

    But you're not wrong about the gold amounts. However, do you think you need a 4 man team to pull it off in that time? I saw a duo 17 min FotD run but that's probably the exception. And you still need to get away with the loot and keep Reaper V.

    If 4 man I'd say let's round it up to 1 hr and that'd be 75,000 gold an hour.

    If could be farmed on demand....and with 100% success. Oh and the time it takes to top off Reaper V.

    Also I guess you'd have to spend about 100 doubloons to find a ritual skull fast.

    Also how much time for each lantern if they arent already lit? The pink might be time consuming.

    @idneon so a theives haven run, with emissary multipliers can net you about 100,000k per hour (properly stacking the voyage and grabbing loot) in solo and even more with 4 players. The drawback being the time it takes to turn it all in

    I dont know much about the run. Is that 400,000/hr with 4 crew or doesnt stack well?

    @idneon solo I can make 100k an hour
    With four people you can do it faster. But it draws the wrong kind of attention so you dont stay undisturbed forever

    Interesting. Are those the level 5 treasure hunts? Or what is the Thieves Haven Run?

    @idneon athenas run of theives haven is a voyage you can buy from duke.
    If you throw one down and have a second one on hand you can stack 2 of them.

    It always takes you to the same islands and if you are fast at digging you can get a lot of gold and some athena rep. By the time you complete one you can hit about grade 4 emissary status. The second one stops you off to grade 5 and then it's a matter of selling it.

    Again the drawback being that experienced players recognize the island locations and are more likely to attack the long you go to them.

    Yeah I paid attention when on a Reaper crew they stated a ship was going to Thieves Haven because they identified it as an Athena..so we planted 2 guys there and sailed elsewhere.

    But never looked much into it and now it makes more sense that you mention it

    @idneon You can get a pink light with just your own crew. But you are right in saying that getting the skulls needed would require doubloons or a fleet. You dont need to get to grade V, the FOTD will do that for you before selling.

    I wish gold even mattered. This game is better when you play just for sake of shenanigans.

    I like that the game doesnt require building and resources etc. Like ARK or other sandboxes. Where there's too much grief.

    The gathering gold is for the sake of gathering gold. Which is nice lol
