Supply Crates

    My apologies if this has been said before. Tried to search, but wasn't going to filter through hundreds of threads for it.

    My suggestion is that it would be really cool to have an option that when you have a supply crate and approach a barrel, that you could press a key like "R" that would just move all the contents from the barrel into the crate. You don't see what was in it. It would save a lot of time.

    Also If there was maybe an idea that you could purchase a supply crate from the Merchant or maybe Duke at the outpost so you could get supplies at the beginning a bit more efficiently as well.

    I was actually thinking the other day, because I've been banging out Hunter's Call trying to finish the fishing, it would be nice if I could just straight up buy bait, instead of digging for it. Would be nice, but I've also found since launch, you don't need to spend as much time stocking the boat as you used to, due to storage crates being implemented in the game, rowboats, more barrels in the water. Just do one round of the outpost, then continue to stock as you go. A lot easier these days

    @friggin-grease Yeah, if you could even start with one crate on your boat, just run around loading it up and be done with it. Even better if they added the key where you can just approach the barrel and auto dump all the contents into the crate.

    @bloodybil Nope, but thanks for linking those. I actually did a keyword search and brought up 420 results that had the words storage crate in them. Wasn't about to look through them. Glad you had the time. Cheers!

    @bloodybil But perhaps if vast amount of this suggestion keeps popping up, maybe it might grab the attention of the devs to add the feature in. I'm not saying that I take no shame in making another post of a similar topic and even offered an advanced apology for it, but again, I'm not about to go searching an entire forum for a thread when my search returns a large sum of results.

    Then I don't need to explain anything since you know where to find the reasons why this is not a good idea.

    Honestly, I just want to buy a crate of worms. They are fairly easy to dig up, so I guess it's no biggie. Maybe increase their barrel spawn rate?

    I can see the downside to buying storage crates for sure
