Brigantine in Arena

    Basically it would make sense to have a brig within the arena mode now that there's a sloop and galleon. Me and my two other mates and hopefully other crews are tired of that one b*stard who just runs around and not doing any work. We even encountered one that just kept on dropping the anchor.

    So please for us 3man crew ships drop a brigantine in the Arena. Would make it so much better, also because there would be a lot more action with the brig because it has its powers you know lots of speed, nice turning, and overall a great ship. So hard to steer a Galleon 3 man onboard plus the one thats doing nothing. Especially turning oh my lord.

    Anyways, I dont think there should be any hate or harassement in the comment section because we're just talking about a ship. Just say if you want it in the game or if you dont. No need to hate.

    Don't see why not,

    Personally I'd like an overhaul of the arena altogether with game modes on islands and in open waters;
    King of the hill
    Capture the flag
    VIP (protect a player)
    Team Deathmatches or Free for all.

    Im up for a brig in arena. Doubt they bring it in soon. It will water down the pool of players which would give us bigger timers to start a match.

    That being said. As a 4th u can also check LFG's or Discords. This way u have a lil more control over the pirate who joins.

    Steering the galleon is slow? Kinda is yes but u have a harpoon matey. If u use this correct than the galleon can turn like a sloop on speed.

    I've been asking every chance I get for brig arena. it's in the achievement imagery.

    not sure why rare continues to delay the release.

    @plebochino I wouldnt prevent it, its would be nice when players dont have four crew members but i dont think its necessary.
    Again, i dont mind but they can add something new finally oher then a minor quality life improvment.
    A Man o War however. that could be cool in the arena a mayhem of noob players on a ship they can barely control and one in a life time youll see a group of pros who would demolish everyone.......

    I would also like to see a brig in the arena, but with rare saying that they are no longer updating arena i can’t see it happening. I do hope they come out with another game mode like arena that the brig can be used in.

    To make things fair you'd probably have to make a special brig Arena, because if you put it in with either sloop or gall overtime a preference for one or the other would emerge, as ballance issues become apparent. Then you get into further division of the player base territory. As for a 4th crew member, well if your team works well together you should still manage okay against the usual open crew ships that populate Arena, even with just the 3 of you. I wouldn't recommend rellying on open crew for a decent 4th, put up a post in xbox or discord for an extra person, at least then you can vet them a bit.

    I think they should just allow sloops, galleons, and brigs all in one free-for-all mode.

    I dont care about the dysfunction or imbalance in Arena, but it remains a great place for combat training.

    A brig arena mode would just kill galleon arena.

    @leeroyeh your solution doesn't seem to fit your problem.

    If the issue is having useless crew members in an open crew, then this is going to happen regardless of crew size.

    Your best bet is to make a closed crew with folks from an LFG/C or discord. Less chance of running into a noob who keeps dropping your anc.

    Brig arena is actually a pretty good idea for other reasons. It would've allowed for quicker paced naval fights. Crews that usually run in 3s in adventure wouldn't have to worry about finding a 4th or 3-manning a gally. At the very least it would've added some variation.

    At the same time it would've spread the Arena crowd further. The game already struggles to fill spots for open crews in the two existing modes. So I can only imagine how dead the lobbies would be if players had a third option to choose from.

    In any case, Rare already said they're giving up on developing Arena. So we won't be getting any Brigs or TDMs or any other game modes.
