Like, Rare already said in the beggining that 4 players more is unbalanced for solo or duor players, but, they allowed you to make alliances in game, so, whether you like it or not you can have more than 4 players in the crew helping you out. So, why don't you put a system where you can invite more friends or make an alliance on lobby? Then you'll play with more than 4 players, but instead of random players they'll be your friends.
More than 4 players gameplay
Because again that makes the game unfair.
Imagine having 2 ships allianced with you and you’re all PvP players. Decide to gang up on a sloop cuz that’s what everyone does in this game.
They sink in a matter of seconds.
Not. Fair.
Sure you can alliance with strangers but it isn’t entirely fair that they’re friends since that’ll mean no risk of being backstabbed and such.
I hate saying this..... but it’s sea of thieves. If they allow this then that means you’ll end up having an entire lobby full of friends. Again, not okay.
A sneaky way to get multiple ships on the same server:
Log in and set sail. Find a ship, ask the crew if you can have that ship (of course some will say no, or just fight you, but some will say yes). Add one of your crew to the friends list of the other crew, then have the other crew invite them. Bingo, multi-ship mayhem!
@kangamangus556 lol why? Sailing up to another player promotes social interactions, and the friends list manuver seems to be in line with the 'tools not rules' motto. It's not like Rare can stop this move, nor would they want to
