Rare can you please lower the difficulty of the fort me and my friend on a sloop and I think it took us almost 2 hours to finish it but then I joined some other friends on a gall and finished it in half an hour prob less if another ship didn’t get in the way and plus the amount of time it takes to get prepared for the fort takes so much time and I don’t think anyone going to the legendary commendation where you have to do it 50 times like who thought that was a good idea

The sloop is the officially designated hard mode of Sea of Thieves, since it's built as a multiplayer game when the sloop wasn't even a concept. Of course it'll be easier on a galleon, but the difficulty should not be lowered. It functions as a high-difficulty, high-reward system: it'll take you some time and effort to do, but you'll get a lot out of it - and so will anyone who manages to take some of it. The legendary commendation is supposed to keep people doing it, keeping it active, and something you don't just do in one day. You have to work over time for a legendary commendation (something the Mercenary Voyages really can't do, being time-limited), just as you do for the Athena's Fortune commendations, which are true 'legendary commendations'.
@ultmateragnarok yeah but I don’t want them do the legendary commendation as a think it’s a waste of time now for what a title and doubloons which you can get so much easier thanks to the reaper chests which 9/10 no one goes for I just want the jacket

And I’ve seen players with legendary cannons. You get that from sinking 500 skeleton ships. So trust me players will get 50 fort clears in no time. Sounds like your trying to rush this which who cares if a person is first to something. Besides you said yourself you cleared it fast on a galleon so look how long it should take to make 50.

@k1lroyw4sh3r3 yeah but that was with a crew who doesn’t want to do the fort anymore and I can’t find another that’s wants to do it and literally I only want to do it so I can get the coat and make my character look like banshee which I always wanted to do in this game
I got it solo on a galleon on the day of its release, so I fully believe @BlunderBuddy up there got it solo twice. The hardest part is the flames, after that it's just a longer stronghold. As for the commendation, well, you've got to work for it. Finding 10 krakens to defeat for the kraken cannons was difficult (at the time). Sinking 500 skeleton ships for the pirate legend cannons was difficult. Collecting just shy of 100 chests of legends for Athena's Fortune level 10 was difficult. Knocking out the Shrouded Ghost 5 times for the legendary hunter of the Shrouded Ghost commendation was difficult. People still have them, it's more than possible. I wouldn't be surprised if people already have all 50 completions of the FotD, in fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

Because they could! I’ve done a galleon solo during Athena’s for the increased speed of travel. Until the brig was released.
It's a nice ship, it's nigh impossible for the smaller threats to sink, it gives me things to do when sailing, I prefer it's responsiveness to the bounciness of a sloop, it'll be ignored by many players, and those who don't ignore it are often more likely to be friendly to a solo, especially on a larger ship, than to a full crew.
- It was made for crew*s. Either full Galleon or ally up.
- Its a super fort, with a huge reward for completing. So it takes time to prep and Open then finish.
Yeah it has to be difficult for all the work and time to do.
50 is for the long run. Think of reaching Pirate Legend, you have to reach lvl 50 on three factions. Its a grind and it meant as to keep players ingame to achieve glory on the sea and show off...What you did.
Prepare for the fort. You in for a workout.
When its 3 different colour skellies i use a barrel in the fort and run 3 circels with the different colour lantarns then i hit the barrel..
I use fish .. 5 fish you can eat 10x and a little regen keeps me longer in fight.. waste less time with ferry. Pondies are a fast catch.
Shoot boss mr superfatso with greenballs at the doc to make him sleep etc then destroy him with canon while he cant heal when he is cursed..
Might save some time.
No nerfs for the Fort of the Damned.
Rare already nerf things for the solo experience as it is... If they were to rebalance the Fort of the Damned to accommodate solo play, it would make it way too easy for people who play in crews - and Sea of Thieves is a game that is based on team play after all.
On top of that, look at the loot you get from this: 4 of each piece of Stronghold loot and a Chest of freaking Legends - yeah anyone who wants to chase after loot like this should have to fight tooth and nail to obtain it and protect it.
If it were any easier, the rewards would be too lucrative for what it is.
