Please allow basic keyboard usage when playing on console and prefer-controller-players is on

Just use a Chatpad on the Xbox.
No need to have a keyboard in a "Controller Only" Lobby.

If it could only be used for text only then i could understand that, but im not sure how easy or complicated it would be for the game to detect that.

The nice thing is it already detects when you are in game and playing on controller-only mode, ignoring mouse & keyboard only when both conditions are met. If you open up any of the menus while in game, keyboard still works in there. In theory, taking the above filter from allowing no input to allowing a single command through should be easily doable, depending on the state of their code of course. But I also understand this is a pretty low priority ask, so unlikely to get traction... can't hurt to try and get it on someone's radar.

What doesnt that address? You want to chat using a Keyboard.
"MoKo Keyboard for PS5" there you go. That way you get what you want.

Yup, there is a need. Just because you are unable to see it and unwilling to acknowledge that the opinions of others are valid does not invalidate those opinions, nor make you right. You have made your position quite clear, but I'm suggesting this to Rare, the developer, not you.
To Rare, I would add that, in terms of accessibility, not everyone can bend their fingers to use a miniscule keyboard chatpad. Furthermore, if those chatpads send keyboard events, they still cannot be used to trigger text chat, as was my original proposal.
