First time I do one of these in the forum, but saw a significant amount of people agreeing with the statement, but I believe Guilds should be reworked to allow a player to earn reputation to all the guilds they're currently on board.
Guilds, from what I've seen, have to resulted in the intended objective of bringing people together under the same roof hull. Instead, we see prioritization and exclusion. For players with a limited time, it becomes a painful dilemma to decide what guild to go as, and even then you feel guilty of not progression the other guilds you created or joined.
My proposition would alleviate the decision-making, by allowing pirates to earn reputation to ALL their guilds in a single session, albeit not at the same pace. If you entered through "X Guild" ship, you would earn emissary multiplier and ledger for that respective guild, but only base reputation for "Y" and "Z" Guilds. That way, you would still be progression your other guilds even if slightly, but would maintain the competition sentiment that the leaderboard is suppose to bring.
If you wanted to participate in helping "Y" or "Z" to achieve the seasonal ledger, you would then have to play on those guilds' ships. Same thing applies if you want to use emissary with those guilds.
I really like the concept of guilds, but dislike the idea of feeling guilty or a bad person while playing a funny pirate videogame.
