Yes, many adventurers have left a permanent mark on this world, but only a canny seafarer can uncover all their deeds…

The Path to Prosperity

Though Stitcher Jim is nowhere to be found, Duke is back bearing lucrative Gilded Voyages! Everyone’s favourite Bilge Rat never fails to provide adventure and his Gilded Voyages award valuable treasure, worth a great deal of gold and reputation with a Trading Company.

Each pirate can only claim one, so choose your Gilded Voyage wisely. Furthermore, Duke has another choice for pirates taking these Voyages – you may forego the Company reputation in favour of double gold rewards if you drop off your treasures at The Reaper’s Hideout.

Getting Started – Gilded Voyages

Simply head to any tavern and speak to Duke to claim your Gilded Voyage. Remember that you can only claim one, so pick a Voyage which relates to a Company you want to please, or an activity you’re interested in. You may want to plan ahead with your crewmates…

Whatever you pick, you’ll find this Voyage pays very well in gold and reputation! And don’t forget, if your ranks look healthy but your coffers look empty, take your Gilded Voyage treasures to The Reaper’s Hideout to claim double the gold and forego the reputation boost.

The Real Legends

The mysterious Umbra, an old friend of Duke, has settled at the Lagoon of Whispers. She considers herself a truth seeker, recording the greatest legends for all time – and there are no greater legends than those on the Sea of Thieves!

Umbra has collected many rumours about the most famous (or infamous) pirates, just like you, who achieved great and memorable things on these seas. Celebrate the deeds of your fellow pirates as you follow Umbra’s clues and uncover these Legends of the Sea. She may even share her knowledge of tattoos with you…

Getting Started – Umbra’s Legends

You can start tracking down the truth behind Umbra’s rumours immediately. Simply check your Commendation list to find all her clues! Each one will lead you to a certain place, where you must search for something to investigate.

Umbra herself can be found at the Lagoon of Whispers; seek her out to learn more about her task. You’ll also need to speak to her if you want to complete certain rumours that require a personal touch!

Tomes of Fire

More Ashen Tomes have been discovered! Don’t let the skellies hoard these sinister texts – seek out the Ashen Chests containing the Tomes and unlock them with Ashen Keys. Ashen Guardians and Key Masters are found throughout the world with the items you need!

Grab all five Tomes of Fire and take them to Duke to earn special Ashen cosmetics for each chapter, plus a bonus for a full set.

Reaper’s Bounty Chests

Those enigmatic Reaper’s Chests just got stranger still, with a new variant spotted in the wild: the Reaper’s Bounty. Watch out for a golden beam on the horizon and a gold lick of paint on the chest itself, indicating the vast wealth inside!
