Ritual Skulls

I got my mercenary gear, buy I aint doing the last commendations for the ritual skull.

@oroku Ive had 4 now in 5 runs of the Wilds area.

Didnt know they were rare.

Well my tally is zero ritual skulls for 4 solo voyages and 8 ritual skulls for 4 duo voyages.

So I am interested in solo players stats on ritual skulls.

4 voyages in and still yet to find a single 1 myself. Got super lucky with 3 Ancient Bonedust though

I've only done 2 voyages solo so far, Devil's Roar and Shores of Plenty. I got 2 in the Shores, but that was it so far.

@badrobott At least you got some as a solo player. I was beginning to think that wasn't possible.

4 voyages, 3 skulls. Mix of 3c-Brig and 4c-Galleon.

I think the drop rate is fine, gives incentive to attack others or work the event more. With the Reapers Chests, doubloons aren't a concern at the moment, especially with each voyage only costing 5.

I recommend stealing from others. I took a couple skulls from a brig who wasn't protecting their ship. I've not had much luck on my own voyages.

We played whole weekend on Galeone and couldn't find any.
Now I changed to sloop and get in each voyage 1

Just keep doing the Shores of Plenty voyages. The islands are smaller and closer together, and you always get plants for your third chapter so much easier.

I dunno how many of these utterly less wanted voyages i did but i did way to many to get those ritual skulls, some diden't give a single one so i was like....fun.

Finished the 4 voyages first round and only managed 1 ritual skull. Solo sloop 3 voyages 1 skull and duo sloop 1 voyage 0 skulls, so it's random i'd say. Also missing one relic, but i guess that's coming sometime when getting 14 more skulls.

Plan is to just speedrun grind out Shores voyages from now on for skulls. Easiest skellies there, good visibility hard to sneak up on, centered outposts with short fort distances. Might be more occupied though, because of those. Wilds was the most quiet one to finish, didn't see anyone there. But shadow skellies with guns at night become slow as do the golden ones if inside caves or high points of the islands.

Hopefully luck changes, 1 skull per 4 voyages sounds like 3 weeks might get rough and busy.

7 voyages down, halfway complete with the skulls.

Taking our time and hitting every Reapers Chest we see along with stopping for gems, but things are progressing fine as far as I am concerned.

Starting to think this might be worth looking in to by the devs. Seems some people get them decently and some are just burdened by bad luck.

Speed ran 4 more voyages and only got 1 more ritual skull, totaling now 2 skulls after 8 voyages.

I'm not sure if they are supposed to be found in any of the digs or just the last fort. If it's any dig, currently the chance to get a ritual skull is around 4% for me and if it's last fort only that's still only 8% of getting a skull.

Somehow i doubt this was the intended way to enjoy the event, just skipping everything but the skulls as much as possible.

Sure infinite doubloons via reapers are now possible, so they are not really a problem as people hardly even seem to be doing the reapers, 2-3 constantly up everywhere. So you can easily fund this hunt. But it's just really unsatisfying not getting a single one after finishing a voyage.

@guepard4 Me too! It's very discouraging and boring to do these missions.

Has anyone noticed an increase of Relic Skulls since the mini patch today? We got one on nearly every ch 2 & 4 today.

I noticed a huge increase last night. I obtained four skulls on a single voyage (Shores of Plenty).
The other two dig spot where relics also.

Yeah it was a really bad design decision in my opinion that it is possible to not get at least one from the voyages.

I did several voyages not receiving one at all and also had one voyage where I got four...

That's dump!

Maybe just me being superstitious, but I find I have better odds of getting Ritual skills if I keep the previous chapters' villainous skulls aboard. 🤷🏽‍♀️😋
