Expanding the Islehopper type fish.

    I somewhat enjoy fishing in the game. I get that splashtails are the most common and can be gotten anywhere without bait, pondies in ponds, etc. And I get the specialty fishes you need bait for, the ancientscales and the devilfish. Stuff like that.

    But I enjoy the Islehoppers a great deal because while they may not take bait, the challenge is finding and reaching a very specific spot where they can be gotten. Amethyst Islehoppers at night on Flintlock Peninsula, etc.

    I would love to see an Islehopper type fish in the other regions of the Sea of Thieves that requires a bit of exploring and hitting up all the big islands to find.

    Yeah, funny thing about that, I thought Islehoppers were exclusive to Devil's Roar for a short bit because that's where I first encountered them and kept finding them for awhile. Now I realise they kind of are in other regions hidden away. So, I'll refine my suggestion a little.

    I like the variety to hunting tactics. You can fish anywhere for the basic stuff which is great for cooking or trying to solo Mystic Order in Devil's Roar. There's tons of stuff to go hunting for with bait and not just the stormfish or the battlegills. But the Islehoppers are my favorite because they require a bit of exploration to find, but not bait. Once you find them, you can have at them. The storm, shipwreck, and skull fort mechanics are a mix of both location and bait.

    There's so many bait-specific fish that I don't think that category would really benefit from much expansion. I'd like to see more exploration themed stuff. If I'm on some big island wandering around and I don't have a toxic ship bearing down on me, I'd like to take a moment and test the waters, see if something new pops up. Pleasant surprises can really help balance out the unpleasant surprises, no?
