So I have found solo to be a bit too difficult in the higher levels. Too many pirates getting at me while I'm on an island or too many gold pistol skellys to do any order of souls missions. So nowadays I load up small sloop crew. One random to help me cover the ship while doing missions and speed up the skelly fights.
SO... I have had a great time with this! I have had people with various skill levels, some bossy people, but for the majority its been amazing and I wanted to share a few stories.

I was with a no mic guy. Dressed all in the new sovereign gear with the gold hat and chest plate. I had the chest piece so I dressed to match. He was a boss on the non verbal dialogue and apparently couldnt hear me so I had to savvy up a bit. He was very peaceful and avoided all fights. We got quite a bit of treasure and then I saw a sloop. I swam over and blew it up. My golden friend was displeased haha, but kept sailing with me. At one point he got drunk and was sailing all over losing me on the island to fend for myself haha.

I was sailing with a friend on here nexrum. We ran into another sloop and they wanted to take on a galleon at the skull fort. We lit him up but somehow he never sank so we left the game to make a galleon with these strangers. We did a few missions then saw a new skull fort and took it on. Was my first one ever since I typically always soloed. I loved it!

This one was hilarious disaster. Met a canadian fellow. He was doing a merchant quest for chickens and snakes. He had the chickens and we got to a snake island. He put the snakes near the chickens and they killed them haha. So we had to go back to another island for more. As we jumped off we realized neither of us hit the anchor and the ship sailed off into the blue. I mermaided back and as I was coming about a galleon sprang on me. I ducked them as he got the chickens and a pirate legend boarded me. I sliced him but he got a blunderbuss on me. My canadian friend smoothed things over with him and he left us alone as all we had were animals worthless to him. We did finally get that voyage done was a great time.

Last nite I was logged in with a young guy about half my age. He was so funny. Had me laughing for hours. I don't know whats going on with kids these days but this guy was great. Joke after joke kept the game rolling and before you knew it we had thousands in skulls. He was a pretty good player as well.
So just wanted to share my fun times with the small sloop. Any solo captains out there getting frustrated at the grind, I suggest the small sloop. Only gona meet one new person and itll help a lot I promise. Won't always be perfect, but way better than working for hours in silence and then being robbed/murdered haha.
