@villardios Try adjusting your game settings.
I had instances where the game would crash on me randomly. I had all my settings on Mythical. I went into my settings and reduced them by 1 to Legendary (Except the water effects. I left that at Mythical). Have not had crash issues since.
@villardios What kind of crash are you experiencing? Is the game shutting down? Is it freezing? Do you get video tears? Doe it go to desk top?

@oneeyed-w1lliam Indeed. I was freezing into a crash randomly on the game's detected settings, and after reducing them down and disabling VSync it's now down to miserable stutters when loading islands or areas.
I'd love to contribute data on how to fix the issue since so many people have it, but lowering the game's detected settings (all AMD hardware here) was the only thing that made the game tolerable on my old Radeon HD 7950. It's like the driver freaks out while trying to load and render game resources at a certain quality level.
In my case, I would just get severe frame rate drop when too much was going on, and then the eventual crash of game (back to Windows). I had all my settings on Mythical. I changed it to custom and put everything back 1 setting to legendary except the ocean detail - Left that at Mythical - No more problems.

Asus Laptop - Model FX73VE-WH71 - 17.3" Display, (but I sometimes plug it into my 52" TV via HDMI, lol!)
Win 10 64 Bit
Intel Core i7-7700HQ Processor - 2.8 GHz (3.2 on turbo)
8GB DDR4 RAM
4GB Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card
Although on PC, I play with a controller.
