Can someone tell me how can a player Sporn on a ship in the middle of no were. Then when using a musket do double shot without reloading there gun. Then kill you steel your ship and sink it so you loose all the loot.
PC Hacks ???
I have just come across unkillable players, we kept wailing and shooting them, and they never died. Im not sure thats a cheat, usually aimbots or 3d radars is the norm in bought cheats from an ESP, it might be server issues.
But yes, this game has cheaters, but i assume most of them just use the treasure radar ESP to rank up quickly, as using the aimbot ESP is a great way to get banned.
This game currently has no anti cheat, so yeah.....it wont go away anytime soon.
Confirmed working cheats atm :/
Aimbot – Auto aim at other players and enemies
Treasure Finder – See spawned treasure and other rare items
Chest ESP – See spawned chests on islands
Player ESP – See other players
Ship ESP – See enemy vessels at maximum distance
NPC ESP – See mermaids, skeletons and other enemies
But yeah there is a unlimited health also...

Hi, yeah I have encountered rapid fire cannon. A sloop with one cannon facing me shot 4 or five shots into our gallon in about 5 seconds. Wish I had captured it. No one seems to be sorting this problem. Rare needs to advertise that pc cheats will be banned & all their ill gotten gains deleted.
Dont hold your breath. R6 Siege had battle eye implemented at release, but it didnt start working after a good while after launch.
SoT has NO anti cheat, so first they need to decide what software to use, then they need to decide how to pinpoint player behavior aswell as have a system that checks for injections in their game.
This game has cheaters, and they will continue to cheat without ever beeing banned, for a loooong time.
It's already a huge hassle to report someone. Even if you record video, without kill cam it's almost impossible to use video as evidence. There's not much we can do, and not much Rare can do. I love this game very much, but I hate cheaters more and I hate to abandon this game once it gets bad. (and it will very soon)
@finkku Please do not share video of hacks or exploits on the forums, as it is a violation of our Forum rules. Evidence for hacking, cheating, or exploits should be included as part of your report on the player.

I think I had some pretty suspicious stuff happen to me as well. I just don't do any game recording because I can't afford to slow my machine down any more.
Despite being beefy as, I struggle to maintain 60 FPS on Rare. I don't know what's up.
@aetherbones
Hi AetherbonesThe only thing you can do that I can see is to make two servers one for the PC world and one for the Xbox world. Or as you said this game will die very Quick. Which will be a bloody shame.
@haxxorsauruz Ah! that explains it... I had one of these experiences too, just anchored at an outpost and got rammed by another ship, as I was jumping into the water, I then climbe back aboard and proceeded to chase and cut a player with my cutlass, but he wasn't dieing (got about 3-4 good hits on them) then I died, only to see their partner appear. My other crewmates died pretty quickly too.
@bedtime1962 Nah, spread the hackers evenly across all platforms and I'll play it till there's nothing but hackers left.
@bedtime1962 I don't want to get into too much but it's just as easy to use hacks with a console, and much harder to catch. Splitting the platforms won't solve the hacking issue.
@bedtime1962 This sounds more like a latency issue than a hack... Not saying the player wasn't hacking, but I know there was an instance in a battle with another player where I shot twice with my blunderbuss and on his screen I never reloaded. I was experiencing a lag spike and was bouncing around the galleon. I found it hard to do much of anything a few seconds later.
But who knows. You'd need evidence to say for sure.
@mcstabbypants The difference is that MS can ban a console which makes it expensive to cheat. It's easier to police in the console space. We rarely have these problems on consoles. This is primarily a PC problem. Cross play is a dumb idea that no one really wants. They really should just ditch the cross play altogether. The cheating is pretty rampant in SoT right now and it probably won't get better ☹

We are not allowed to post videos or links showing hacks as its against forum rules.
Search youtube, tons of proof on there!its not against the rules to ask about what happen in the video.
@foozle It's the same when it comes to banning on PC. Your Windows 10 license is tied to your hardware and MS can ban your motherboard from xbox live just like they would a console.
I don't find that cheating is rampant in this game though. I have played this game everyday since release for an average of around 5 hours each day and have only come across a couple of instances where I thought something wasn't quite right but I'm not sure they were cheating. Lag can make it seem like someone is almost unkillable.
@bedtime1962 one of the main reasons I bought this game was because it was cross platform it allows me to play with my friends who only has an xbox
@admiral-tweedle
Can't see how that's trolling, simply stating a fact.
You are trying to be funny & failing miserably, we're all finding that highly amusing!I've had a couple of unexplained things happen as well - like sloops firing cannons not quite as fast as, but almost like a machine gun - I know what the reload times are, because I fire my own cannon. What they were doing is just not possible - in theory.
Also - several times now I've had invaders on my ship, have shot them 3 or 4 times point blank - and they just didn't die
Now that might be lag, or not, who knows - either ways, it happens. A few times now.I say that all hackers should be sued (worked with fortnite). I simply can't have fun anymore because of all the hackers that seek nothing other to ruin you day. Just recently I was attacked by a hacker who jumped out of the water, stood still for 30 seconds while I was slashing at him over 20 times. His friend then shot me from their ship that was behind a rock (the shot went through the rock). If this issue is not fixed by the September update I'm done with this game and regret preordering it and spending $65 on a game that should have been half the price.
It's not like nothing is ever done. Just because it's not being displayed in our faces or other cheaters might appear in your games....
Meanwhile, Rare has issued bans for a number of players that were confirmed to be cheating in Sea of Thieves, with the developer adding that it "will continue enforcing a zero tolerance policy to this behaviour and taking regular action against any players who are found to be cheating."
There is more that needs be done but all reference from Rare indicate that it's not as common as people enjoy claiming. More often... it's game issues specifically de-synchronization and similar.
Best bet, as always... record and report.
