Smack dab in the center of the map, an island you could go to that would be the “safe zone” some have mentioned, but have it include matchmaking for duals in an arena, pvp pirate games (liars dice) betting your gold etc... trading, crew finding... it’s all y’all order but would make for a fun area.

Interesting idea but let me add on one more : safe zone is only partially safe , you can be attacked inside of it but there are Ai guards that attack any wrong doers . If we had to accept a totally safe zone I’d probably hate it forever , but idk this game is very care bear ish so it will probably happen with enough community pressure :/
Was just thinking this would be a really awesome thing yesterday! Hopefully they put something like it in the game. I was thinking like for minigames as well maybe a "drinking contest" where you have to do certain skill checks or whatever after a few tankards. I don't know - but the port town would be a great addition :3
@hawaiin-skunk yeah I struggle with the safe zone concept especially with Tortuga, because any portrayal I’ve ever seen of it has had people shooting random people for little or no reason lol. Part of the danger of it.
