    I curious Does the Mystic Items you can buy from shops like the lantern etc affect the game play like that golden shovel etc does from the gold diggers factions?

    ps.: I was told that the gold shovel as you progress and upgrade it to be fully gold it gives you a better change to dig a better chest.

    No that's not true, you need to change your source of information.

    Everything is purely cosmetic.

    Yep just cosmetic stuff. Nothing affects gameplay, though cosmetic stuff that has affects would be nice

    E.g. when you drink grog from the OoS mug you see ghosts appear around you,

    Not true, just cosmetic.

    But the Mystic lantern emits a beautiful and helpfull white light instead of the normal yellow light
