Where’s the “reward” for defeating the kraken?

    I’ve not seen anyone get anything for defeating the kraken?

    Wondering that myself. I haven't dug completely through the achievements yet but I would expect at least one of those for defeating the kraken, even if there's no in-game reward. My buddies and I took it on with no external assistance last night and it was remarkably anti-climactic.

    Good question,but are people killing it,maybe just surviving the attack.was there an achievement for surviving and killing it.

    @rainmaker66 I got an achievment when defeated the Kraken. Popped up as soon as he died.

    Some sort of drop would be cool... or maybe a Kraken tentacle piece could be put on display across the beam of the mainsail--similar to the way they used to put Onyxia's head in Stormwind (WoW) when all your friends killed her and you got eaten by Whelps.

    If I killed the Kraken, I'd chop a leg off and wrap it around parts of my boat, anyway. Seems logical. :/

    Ah, so we got screwed out of that just like we got screwed out of the achievement for having twenty chests on the boat. That sucks.

    Check you xbox achievements. It should be there.

    Achievements are b*****s atm. I am curious if those we should have got already are just delayed and will catch up later or we'll have to get them again...

    First time I beat the kraken, we didnt acually kill all the tentacles, some jumped down on their own, so we thought that was the thing we where doing wrong. Same happend second time. BUT! During the 3rd encounter we had we killed every single tentacle and neither we or the crews ship we where on got any loot. (We where boarding a sloop and the Kraken spawned so we put our differences aside and teamed up. It was super Epic because the Cannonballs ran out and we ended up shooting it down with pistols and shotguns, i even killed 1 tentacle with a sword after ending up in the water)

    Seems to me like it's yet another thing left out of the release that will eventually make its way in...has anyone found the rum or coconuts yet? drums?

    @neutr0nic Its rum we drink from the cups. Cus that s**t cant be grog. Grog aint strong enough to make you drunk so easily ^^

    They said they were going to add rum as a stand alone thing and I am yet to see it, grog is grog

    What happens when you kill it? Cause I had one encounter with it and we got rid of all the arms and then it just looked like the sea of ink was moving away from us. Was it dead? Didn't get an achievement, but I haven't seen any achievement for the last two days.

    Kraken Achievment

    Yeah that's the first thing I looked at. Neither achievement is there. It's known that there are issues with achievements right now.

    Rare said that it was going to be a very hard fight with epic rewards. Neither seem to be true unless you count the Xbox achievement as a great reward.

    Yeah. They definitely need to up the difficulty on it a bit and unlock a ship or costume option.

    You get to continue to port with your loot.

    Seriously do you need a carrot for everything?

    @lukzini The reward is being able to sail back to an outpost and tell all the other players hanging out there your story...oh wait, no one is ever there.

    This game really needs a centralized social center. We should be able to come to port with a dead Kraken in tow and sell it's carcass to someone.
