@tre-oni Well sure, but if I don't call it barebones then I have to change my opinion of Blackwake to not barebones as well. I have to apply my standards consistently. You and I have different opinions of what barebones is. To me, this is barebones. To you, maybe not.

@roosterhome if you think the thread is pointless then why do you still post? Your post is infact more pointless than this thread because you're complaining about people complaining.
@elzamvb All I know is I've spent equal amount on a "full price" ($79.99 CAD) for less, and a more broken final product than what I've personally seen and played in some of these pre-release builds. Some of them indie, some of them not, and they never got the backlash as hard as they should have.
@tre-oni This is why I described this as the Steam Greenlight problem. This happens all the time on the old Steam Greenlight and it's why I don't trust most greenlight games. Again, I'm willing to trust Rare as a developer, so I don't mind paying the price for this game. But it's far less polished than release Elite Dangerous out of beta, a similar horizontal progression game. I'm saying that if this were an Indie game, I wouldn't trust it to become "fully developed". But because this is Rare, I'm willing to gamble that it will be completed within a "reasonable timeframe".

we're not saying that SOT doesnt have enough content, we're saying that its foolish to assume that beta we just had was only 25% of the full game and that there would be loads of hidden content at launch. and that in defending the "Hidden content" statement you actually harm the game because it shuts down potential feedback of the game. as well as telling people to "shove off if they dont like it" on a forum designed for feedback.
