Replay value

  • This game is a blast to play and stunningly visual. It no doubt that this is an amazing game. The only thing that worry's me is the replay value. I mean all we do is get chest, kill boss pirates, and later on rescue animals. It seems like it would get boring pretty fast.

  • This is also something I've been wondering, my only guess is that Rare has some stuff they're not telling us and we have to discover for ourselves once the game is released (that's my hope).

  • @imsuchanewbie I’m sure they have considered this question. Without reading their minds my guess would be increasingly difficult missions, expanded content, regular updates with new cosmetic rewards and achievements..

I think they can continue focusing on social aspects of the game since it’s bases around a lot of social aspects.

I think an island heavily guarded that confiscates your weapons upon entry that has taverns , hang out spots, mini games , etc would be fun

  • @haze-grey Great idea. We could even implement mini-games such as chess. It will be great for killing time and hanging out on such social islands. It is just something that adds realism, replay value (for some), and is probably not too hard to implement.

As mentioned by a lot of people, fishing is also something.

I don't know if pirates played hide and seek back then, but yeah.

  • @liby-ki I like it.... chess would be cool....or like a version of beer pong called Grog Pong.... and the more ur guy drinks obviously the harder it is.... maybe some card games.... live music, karaoke lol...

  • I have over 100 hours, so that's pretty good replay value to me. And that was before a progression system

  • I really want a easy fishing feature I mean come on Zelda had one on the wii lol. I simple fishing mechanic and a way to track just the largest fish you catch could be fun and definelty add to the replay value. If they added tiger sharks you could even make it where we find treasure in one.
    -Cannon balls
In 1823, in the West Indies a shark was caught that had a cannonball in its stomach. It’s possible during the heat of battle the shark got confused and attacked the cannon ball after it was fired. A terrible thing to eat, but it shows how strong sharks are that even with a 6-lb cannon ball in their stomach they can still swim around

    -Treasure
A woman in Malaysia was filleting a baby shark she bought at a fish market and found a 16th Century Portuguese medallion in its stomach. The inexperienced shark probably mistook the small medallion for prey. The medallion was worn by sailors for good luck, but unfortunately it wasn’t very lucky for the shark.

    -Grog
In 1942, a Blue Shark was caught off the coast of France by a fishing boat. When the fisherman butchered the shark, they found a bottle of Portuguese Madeira. Unfortunately, the bottle was intact, so the shark never got enjoy the wine

And that’s just a few lol

  • What about cities, trading posts, and forts? Trade in the game would be cool and stealing loot from trade ships could be great fun.
