Wouldn't it be cool if there was an optional shared VC with your alliance? So if they're at the Roar and your fishing at Smugglers Bay you can still communicate w/them?

Yeah you could but what if the parties aren't working or you don't have discord or xbox app@shadowfox327533 If that happens, contact the support of whatever playing platform you are using and solve the issue.
I'm not going to lie, but ...hear me out lol. I can't say this without confessing, so here goes.
A friend of mine and I are on a sloop, when this brig comes kinda close, wanting our attention. They were planning on doing FotD, and were already in an alliance with another sloop. Since we would be the 3rd, they wanted to do FotD 3 times, and each of us would get a chest of fortune. So, of course we agreed.
At the FotD, I was the only one watching the ships (I may have taken their supplies) while my friend helped them complete each one, rezzing players so they wouldn't return to their boats and discovering they had no cannonballs. For the record, our guild is called Shenanigans.After everything was done, my friend brings us our chest of fortune. I see another player leave their chest right there on their boat, which I harpoon after they leave. My friend boards the last ship, and takes theirs. I harpoon him on, and we quickly drop sail and leave the alliance.
If we were in some kind of call with them, they would know something was up if we just hung up. They'd be asking where their chests were, ask where we were going suddenly, why did we leave the alliance, then yell at us with some choice words. For our situation, not being in a call is a better choice.
