the game is becoming boring

    hi,
    i'm getting more and more desappointed with this game beaucause it's more and more boring (from my point of view) : since the game has authorized the possibility to use canons to drop mates, this is the only strategy that is now used for fights !
    the last 23 games i played has ended exactly the same way : no canonball, a mate or 2 on my boat and hand to hand fights, no more long range fights using different strategies (different canonballs, islands, rocks, wind) even boarding but not with canons !

    private servers could have been a interesting opportunity to have only players with the same philosophy and also get rid of all those cheaters, rude players, ... but it seems it seems to be more a mirage than a reality ...

    so in the meantime i drop the game in the naphtalene because i've no more interest to spend time in it, what is definitly a pity, i definitly enjoyed the game ...

    Can I ask what you mean by "drop mates"? Are you talking about the ability to climb into the cannon and fire yourself out of it?

    You mention only the pvp part of the game. Everyone who quits always does this and never say anything about the full game experience

    So the game is boring because people who might not be good at TDM, are using cannon skills to attack at range? The game is boring because your crew can't dodge cannonballs and get killed by the opposing ship? Private servers are coming by the way, so you won't have to worry about being bored when people play to their skill lol.

    it was not necessary to be that sarcastic. all what i said was in my 23 last games a unic tactic has been used by my opponents (pvp or regular game) that was using canoball to board. from my perspective, always doing the same single tactic is boring whatever the result is !

    You are in control of what scenarios you put yourself into when seeking fun.
    Me tonight, I offered alliance to a a duo sloop at Reaper Fortress which was spurned.
    I then rowed over and started a guerilla campaign leading to their eventual sinking and I carried off the Mega Stash loot, sold it all then sank during the Skelly Fleet.

    You will not be able to do this against good crews, you need to put pressure (put alot of holes in the ship) on the enemy ship in order to board. you have been playing against people that dont know what they are doing, so you can just bored and get up for free, kill everyone then put holes and sink the ship. it does get boring after a while, also because of how hourglass works fights are always the same even more so when 2 good crews fight each other... PvP right now is not at its best, PvE is also not good where it doesnt justify doing it and grinding it. Rude players will always exist, I always drop one line or 2 when sinking a ship, just for a laugh.
