I need to buy AC but I have been told by support that if I buy AC with my MS points I will not get it as I already have the hat. I need to buy AC before this season ends, and they just extended the date for the hat until the end of the season, literally forcing me to not be able to get the AC to get the plunder pass.
Unbundle the Rare Ruby hat with AC packs.
@potatosord We should get this back in 5 days anyway, seeing as the Rare Ruby Hat promotion ends then.
Annoying that I haven't been able to get any ancient coins from rewards since I redeemed the hat for 2 months though, I hope for future Microsoft Rewards tied items [if any] they still have the original AC option.
Also more [higher than 1000] AC options would be great

Are you saying support told you that if you get the Rare Ruby Hidden Trove pack via Microsoft Rewards and already have the Rare Ruby hat that you won't get the coins from the pack?
If so, I mean listen to support, but here's my experience... I got the hat Aug. 8th via the Microsoft Rewards checklist. Then I used rewards points on Sept 19th (so just a week an a half ago) to get the highest tier (1000 coin) Rare Ruby Hidden Trove pack cause I wanted the coins. It didn't occur to me that I wouldn't get coins if I did this so I didn't check anything first. But I got the coins from that pack just fine. So if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, then feel free to ignore all this. But if I'm understanding correctly, that was my experience. Take it with a grain of salt if support told you otherwise. Just figured I would share.
Rather than possession of the hat I think the issue is you cannot rebuy a pack that you have already purchased.
I earnt the hat through the reward searches, bought a 1000 coins(with hat) worked fine. I have purchased another 1000 coins(with hat) and cannot redeem it as it says I already own it(the rare ruby trove pack).
I assume this means I can buy a 500 coin pack and a 150 coin pack but I am wary to waste more reward points if they cannot be redeemed also.I also redeemed 1000 coins and couldn't redeem them because I had already redeemed another code. I'm rushing to see what they can do.
I received a message from support today. And to make matters worse, MS Rewards is dragging its feet on giving me the refund.
