The mask tab makes absolutely no sense, there almost no consistency between the elements. It seems like there isn't a specific definition of what a mask should be, so here's how I imagine it:
A mask is a cosmetic that covers the top half, or the entirety of a pirate's face, allows the pirate to wear hats, and isn't an eye patch (aka doesn't cover only the left eye). Bottom-only masks should be classified as beards, as to allow for more customization (eg. comboing them with other masks or eyepatches).
