Can't even play hourglass without getting kicked or banned

  • I've been trying to play hourglass with my friend and every time we try to play a match the other players spam report us in-game until one of us gets kicked or disconnected even though we're not cheating or doing anything wrong just playing the game and they get one of us kicked and then immediately poo on whoever didn't get kicked because it's 1v2 and win the battle. Rare you need to fix this ASAP there's no point in having an in-game reporting system if you allow people to abuse it like this to win matches.

  • @m1ke-da-1ke ....That's....just not how it works.

  • Sounds to be more of your friends side of things. And not once did you explain if they were really banned.

  • @m1ke-da-1ke yeah, like I'll get spam reported and it'll take at least a day for the ban to go into effect, and then its just having to repeal the ban. Comm bans can be kinda finicky bc of the whole "Xbox doesn't care deal with it" system

Sounds more like a connection issue on your end that you want to blame on Rare.
The report system does not work on mass reports, nor can 2-4 people spam reporting to get people auto-banned.

  • All I know is that I was trying to play hourglass with my friend and the 1st match we went into they got spam reported then got kicked from the game for "toxic behavior" in the middle of the fight even though they never broke any rules or did anything wrong and weren't being toxic in any way and we lost because they couldn't get back into the session.

Then we went into a second match and I got disconnected in the middle of the match (had a perfect Internet connection with over 1000 mbs download and upload speeds and fully open nat type and 0 packet loss and 70~ ms ping and yet I was still error coded and then disconnected).

Then after losing 2 matches in a row to this BS we loaded into a 3rd match and once again they spam reported my friend until they got kicked in the middle of the match this time for "cheating & hacking" even though they weren't cheating or hacking or doing anything wrong.

My friend said that apparently you're able to spam report people using the in-game reporting system and if you spam it enough the person you're spam reporting will eventually get kicked from the match and then the people spam reporting them can easily win because it turns into a completely unwinnable 2v1 battle

    1. How do you know they were even reported, much less 'spam reported'?
    2. Your friend is wrong. Even if SoT had automated report handling (They don't); Those automated systems have coding in place to ensure the same people can't make 1000000 tickets for the same thing & count as 100000 different report.
    3. As @Look-Behind-You said: That's not how reports work in SoT.
    4. Player reports are handled by Rare's support team. Not an automated system. So a human person would see 'spam reports' from a single person and either assume it was trolling, or lump them all in as 1 report. And a human person would not even SEE the reports fast enough to ban someone in the same match they were reported in.

So no; Neither you or your friend were 'spam reported' and kicked or banned because of it.

  • the 1st match we went into they got spam reported then got kicked from the game for "toxic behavior" in the middle of the fight

Maybe it’s a report from the past catching up and you really were “toxic”.

Then we went into a second match and I got disconnected in the middle of the match (had a perfect Internet connection

No such thing as perfect connection. There always something that will cause disconnect

3rd match and once again they spam reported my friend until they got kicked in the middle of the match this time for "cheating & hacking" even though they weren't cheating or hacking or doing anything wrong.

How do you know? And this point you might have your friend send a ticket to plead there case.
