There should be more security measures when deleting a pirate, like if your account gets hacked and someone is able to delete your pirate there should be a verification process in order to do so.

@zapliquid The verification process was signing into your microsoft account. To access your character they need to access your microsoft account, which is also your XBL, and your email, and potentially more. Could also be your cloud storage and work platform. You have bigger things to worry about if you get hacked.
