I swear dude Rare needs to fix their hacking problem

  • I was attacking a reaper sloop on a galleon when one of their crew mates teleported onto our ship and went invisible, swording us into oblivion until we lost our loot. I know that the game has an anti cheat, but it’s not even implemented correctly. Fix your game Rare.

    The anticheat has helped a lot, from what I’ve seen. I started playing during season 9, and eventually did a lot of hourglass (and still do). It is so, so much better now. With that said, I did encounter the most powerful hacker I’ve ever seen in season 12. He also used invisibility, and it was in a way I’d never seen before as he was able to maintain it pretty well. He also teleported, aim botted (sp?), insta laddered, and more. It was a sight to see. Anyway, I reported him using the video I took (I record every fight, when I remember) and I soon got the email notification from Rare stating that “a player or players you’ve reported have been banned”, which is their typical response when they ban someone based on reporting.

    There’s no anticheat in existence that is perfect, even the biggest name games with the most on the line (competitive atmosphere, unlike SoT) have a constant battle against cheaters.

    All we can do is report them, if nothing else, it at least gives Rare an idea of what’s out there. I’m sure they already have a good idea based on their own due diligence, but reporting can only help. Posting here about it does us no good.
