The Tavern Trials - Gold Hoarders

  • After the events with the mysterious H and the increase in reaper activity, the Gold Hoarders have become worried that all their treasure is in danger of being stolen. Gold Hoarder Humphrey has decided to create a new place to store their treasure and a challenge to discover those that are truly loyal to the horde. Across the sea, a name is whispered in taverns, and the glory that waits those that prove themselves.

    Tavern Name: The Golden Grog

Slogan: Whoever has the gold, gets the grog!

lvl 100 Quest: The player must go across the sea and collect the 3 cursed chests whose locations are divulged in books of riddles. Completing this quest unlocks a customable key ring that the pirate can wear and a golden key. The golden key unlocks the entrance to the secret tavern which lies in the gold hoarder bank at Port Merric.

Tavern Quests: Now that the pirate has proven themselves trustworthy, the gold hoarders have requested that the pirate helps them relocate, switch, and retrieve their personal treasure stashes.

  • Sounds cool!

  • Thank you

  • @havicgaming2244 A neat idea though I feel this one needs more thought as it feels very similar to existing quests for the Gold Hoarders, I know you wish to incorporate the idea of a new tavern or Fort Merrick's Tavern however I would simply change one of each existing taverns in each region to become the central hub for each faction;
The George and Kraken at Sanctuary for the Merchant Alliance
Drowned Rat at Plunder for Gold Hoarders
Broken Tusk at Galleons Grave for Order of Souls
The factions could be switched around, I just feel those regions represent those companies best, however I wouldn't change the outposts for others as this give the most spread out coverage of the entire map

As for the quest itself, for a lvl 100 Gold hoarder you have made that faction lots of money over your time and thus should be entrusted enough for this new quest

    Vault Deposits
Instead of stealing loot from the Vaults of the Ancients, the Gold Hoarder's decide to store valuable items inside them, as such you are given the option to purchase locked chests much like the commodities feature for the merchants but without the "sought after/surplus" feature. Players must then take this valuable loot over to a certain islands (perhaps they use the ancient vaults or make their very own at other islands such as thieves haven)

Another option would be to incorporate the burying treasure feature and then selling the map to the GH for a tidy profit however I believe the quest board/bury feature needs a complete rework to be worth doing.

  • @pugwash9586 Awesome suggestions, hopefully this sparks some ideas at Rare, but I really want this to be a community built thing.

  • What's this about the mysterious H? I've been in the red sea a while.

  • @crowedhunter So SoT did an event involving their social media accounts and made it a giant mystery. Someone named H was threatening the Gold Hoarders, so they asked us for help in discovering who the mystery person was. The first group of people got a real-life prize for completing the four separate riddles.
    1st: the Gold Hoarder's Skull
    2nd-11th: a Silver Key each
    12th-112th: Reaper's Mark Medallion each

  • @havicgaming2244 Oh, that's really kitchy. I wish I'd have participated.
