I haven't played but 3 hours or 4 this weekend due to latency issues. I keep rubber banding anywhere I go. Its gotten to the point where I'm so angry when I walk and lag in the same spot or I move a few paces away from where I wanted to go. Or im transporting and im getting rubber banded off the pier you say you fixed latency but this has never happened to me. Why is this happening...I can't enjoy the game anymore its been like this for 3 days now

I played a fair bit, as did other crews I know this weekend and we had relatively little lag. Wondering what we did differently.
We had one big spike where we all felt it on our two ships Thursday night, but the rest of the time we were fine.

I would drop a line to https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new and let them know what is happening.In my experience this is almost always a networking issue. Turn on the ping counter in settings and see what you're getting. Try running a speed test to see what you're at https://www.speedtest.net/
@gooeydeluxe when you're the only one having the problem, there's something wrong on your end. It could be something on your ISP's end, or if there are other devices or people on your network. For instance, my son wanted a new game for VR this weekend and I got it for him. He loads up steam and starts downloading while I'm playing and I immediately start rubberbanding. Quick speed test and... A couple minutes of instructions later and I had to explain that when using a throttling download option that there is a major difference between Mbps and MBps.
@drizkillz then what should I do if it continues? Cuase when im playing there is nothing downloading or others on the line except for 2 cellular devices

are you using your Xbox with a wired or wireless connection ? (if the latter, please change it to a wired connection.

Have you reset/rebooted your modem / router ? if not, doing so might help.

Have you ran a Speedtest of your connection recently ? doing this might help you see if there is some incoming/outgoing network throttling going on.

@gooeydeluxe first thing I would do would be reset everything (xbox too, if you have fast resume on do a full shutdown)... Modem & router, to start. I'd run a speedtest and get an idea of my ping and link speed. Since this is XBox, there is a network test there you can check and I would make sure the NAT type was open and clear the alternate MAC addres (that solves a lot of issues) If it continues, I'd start looking into the router and make sure the DNS is set to cloudflare and not use the ISP. I'd also check the options for connected devices and see what's actually connected and by that I mean smart devices, PCs, etc. You said two cell phones but I'd wager there are more. Also, I'd consider the router ultimately. Routers & modems only have a 3 to 5 year life span and once they reach that mark you're on borrowed time. If anything, it's from being outdated and not the newest standard but they do wear out, plus I hope you're updating the firmware on it as well. You also want to make sure to avoid an AIO setup if your connection has a modem (no modem/router combo) and the last thing I could think of is not to use 'rented' devices from the ISP. You can get better tech for less by buying outright.
