What are the known Steam launch options? Are they allowed?

    Ahoy all!

    I have a decent midrange pc and can run SoT on mostly middle range graphics at 60 fps+. But in a stroke of curiosity I started to wonder if there are any known launch options that could bolster performance.

    Now I recall a thread mentioning tampering with game files is bannable, in the context of giving yourself 120 FOV. I am not aware if launch options on steam are the same. If they are, feel free to let me know, and I won't bother further.

    So far all I've been able to find is setting '-high' for putting SoT at high priority, and '-USEALLAVAILABLECORES' to use multiple cpu cores in game. Both are universal settings I believe.

    @oakmaiden1557 great question! I'll start by saying i don't know and anything i say should be taken with a grain of salt.

    The options you are looking at only handles how the steam client handles SoT, and does not change any files. I doubt there would be any problem with that. The rule of thumb is, if something give you an advantage over another player its bannable. having a higher performing game is not considered an advantage.
