Oh I remember this, there was a post like this recently, where people could post a run down of their sessions

This is mostly a SUGGESTIONS forum. No one is going to come to a SUGGESTIONS forum and say how the game is perfectly fine and they don't want anything to be changed. Now there are different area of the forums that aren't for suggestions. But in the SUGGESTIONS area of course there are going to be people who aren't happy with the game, hence why they're here.

Oh, thank you officer. But I could have sworn the title of the forum was "Feedback + Suggestions" hehe.

Oh...just checked it and it is. No offence, but you might wish to ask the mods to change it's current title to just "Suggestions" so your comment actually makes factual sense and has some relevance.

Oh I see what's going on. When I see feedback+suggestions I think that the feedback is the comments under the actual suggestion post. Whereas you see feedback+suggestions relating to the actual post itself. I can see how I was wrong, thanks for giving me a new way to look at things.

Oh I see. So you see it as people leaving suggestions and asking for feedback. That is fair enough and in a way, that is what happens too.

But look, I appreciate you commenting and explaining your thoughts - I see your point of view and respect that you hung around to clarify this.

I had a positive pvp encounter yesterday

I was solo doing a merchant material run and I pulled up at an outpost with a fresh spawn sloop. I leave them alone as I very often do and as I was reading the merchant book I got blundered in the back and went down in flames just like Jesse James as I fade to black I hear them call my pirate a slur based on his appearance. This is a learning opportunity for us all.

I came back killed the 2 on the sloop took their ship into open water and took down their mast and filled my pockets with their resources. I went back to my own ship and put them in a death circle not to sink them but just to put enough holes to where they would use all their wood and then have to panic bucket. Of course their pride is taking over so they won't just leave because they had nothing anyway so they bucket and they bucket. I slowly begin to put more holes and they can no longer keep up and they sink.

Then I wait for them to swim over because they are predictable scurvy dogs and I put the sail down just enough to where they can't quite get the ladder and I wait for sharks to eat them. (thanks for the popcorn emote)

Great experience. I'm thankful for getting pvp'd in the back and I'm grateful for the opportunity we shared that allowed us to grow as pirates

There is nothing like a positive bit of feedback such as yours that includes both a Cher and Metallica reference.

Sounds like if they could turn back time, then they might have. Sad but true.

But good job. It wouldn't surprise me if those guys then came on this forum to moan about PvP hehe.

I had some positive PvP experiences as well too. Tuesday my friends and I were out and about navaling people, and we came across the streamer MissAzuki. Very nice young lady, we fought her and her crewmate and ended up sinking them, very cool interaction.

Had the most fun brig fight I've had in forever against this mad man, @treefittymonsta 🤘🏴‍☠️

Tbh, since the FoF & Reapers vs the World, I've had so much more PvP than in other updates, but I've also received more GGs than salt.

Just to report more feedback: Last night a mate joined me (I know! Even I didn't think I had any mates!) and we did a tall tale, The Revenge of Morningstar.

We were at Canon Cove and we got caught off guard in terms of a ship managed to sail up close to us about 100 feet away and anchor as we were messing around reading the books trying to decipher what to do.

We just noticed him jumping off his boat and swimming toward us and in pidgeon English he was saying: "Helo kind friends - I am friend!"

I said to me ship mate "hmmmm not sure about this one." But we didn't open fire and as I holstered me trusty pistol, I spoke back to him asking how we might be able to help him on this fine sunny morn.

He just kept saying how he was a "frend" though and swimming closer and closer...

He then got to the ladder and I drew me pistol, because as far as I am concerned, you should NEVER get on someone else's boat without permission if your intentions are good. When he got to the top, I shot at him and missed, so I cornered him and got him with the sword. He did try evading, but I cannot lie and say he drew a weapon at that point because I cannot be sure.

Anyway, that was that and he respawned and sailed off. We didn't board his ship while he was dead, just in case his intentions were well meaning, but ill in execution.

So for about half an hour after - we continued in peace, wondering who that pirate was and if his death was deserved. Then he came back having fired himself from a cannon over to our ship as we both looked around the island trying to follow the code (I know I know, never leave the boat empty), but again he was just milling around the boat, not doing anything particularly bad.

I made me way back to the boat to see what he wanted again and I suppose at that point, the boat was no longer mine. So I climbed the ladder while I spoke saying "hello there" and the same guy from earlier gave me a free shotgun trip straight to the Ferrymans boat (free of charge) just as I came off the ladder hehe.

When I respawned, he had gone from the ship. We checked he wasn't tucking in anywhere too. Like he vanished. I suppose he just wanted his own back - which is fine.

The moral of the story is; Always ask permission to board, even if it is your own boat that has been overwhelmed. lol.

Aside from that interesting and really, far from "tOXiC" experience, we saw two reaper ships milling around, both of which came into visual contact with us and left us alone.

Hi,

Sounds great. And I totally agree. It is a state of mind and attitude toward the game as an overall concept.

If you accept the game as it is intended to be played with all the betrayal and pirating aspects that come with it and are willing to show emotional maturity by being a good sport in victory and in loss (no matter what the circumstances) - then you will enjoy it.

But if you do not accept the game as it is intended to be played and have a poor attitude and misunderstand what the game is about and just have temper tantrums when you get sunk/spawnkilled/robbed - then of course you will moan about it being "ToXiC" and unfair.
