Knowing how many players there are in the current session/server your in.

  • Right now you can kinda tell by the emissary table how many other ships there are, but there is no indication how full the server is. People have no indication of the amount of chance you will be attacked by a other crew. Or for the crews who like to attack other players how big the chance is to encounter another crew.

This makes the game boring, as you're forced to walk around the outpost gathering resources for basically not knowing if you need it or not.

Been able to buy resources like cannonballs, planks and food with the gold you grinded makes the game less a chore and more relieving. As the gold you grinded/farmed is useless anyway. except you like skins, but I dont care at all. But with this you can start sailing right away looking for other crews.

    you know what I mean,

That's the intention. When you log into the world, it is up to you to discover the dangers that are out there. It's part of the mystery and the unpredictable nature of the Shared World. Trust and believe that this is no design flaw; it is the way we were intended to experience this world.

We have no control or knowledge over the danger, nor should we ever have such control. That's part of what makes this game what it is.

We are already aware of the ''dangers'' there is out there. It would be loads more fun to knew how many players there are around.

  • Although I personally like the idea of knowing how populated each given server is as I enter, this would further stimulate server hopping.

  • Not knowing is more exciting, IMO. Of course, I love to just wander around and find loot. If you just want to fight, go to Arena.
